Note to mods, please do NOT merge this thread with any other.

Although this game was one-sided and absolutely dominated in one aspect of the game, there were still some concerns, particularly on the offense end, with how it sputtered in the middle- also the ground game when Michels was in there.

A little Chatham to start us off:

The snap counts as usual:

I posted it in two other threads already but it fits here pretty well.

Saw this as well. Don't know why they keep having him going IZ unless they're setting it up for a key game, i.e., selling a fake tendency.

Grinding through issues, working on mental toughness. They will need the power run game to go anywhere once the games matter (or injuries pile up).

yeah the OL hasnt run blocked too well...but i have a gripe w/ our RBs, and this isn't really new to this year...i feel like our RBs are too tentative w/ following blocks/plan

sometimes you just got to forget what the plan called for and bounce that damn run outside, in the above clip i feel like Sony had openings if he was more willing to take a chance bouncing it outside, i think that's gotta be coaching, telling our RBs to focus on N/S and avoid going laterally, but damn it it's starting to annoy me how averse to bouncing it outside/not following the play our RBs are sometimes

Mason doesn't look like the same player he was last year. He's getting pushed around up there.

Looking forward to seeing some of the sick pressure and blitz packages we put together yesterday. Just totally overwhelmed the Jets OL.

I honestly don't think the coaching staff is big on players saying "forget the plan" with the mantra being "Do your Job". I think they are perfectly fine with Michel continuing to get stuffed for now while following his instructions knowing that whenever the run blocking gets to a more acceptable level things will fall into place.

Newhouse sucked AGAIN yesterday...one play in particular where he was definitely NOT "looking for work" almost got Brady killed....time to give Cunningham or Benenoch a chance at LT, yet Bill chose to deactivate BOTH of them? WTF?

If you want to criticize, don't criticize Bill. You should be criticizing Dante. It is Dante who name Newhouse as the starting LT until Wynn comes back. It is also likely Dante that told Bill that he preferred Ferentz and Eluemunor as his Game Day backups.

Dante is being forced to develop OL's on a week to week basis, rather than have them matriculate though the Academy. It takes more than a week a half of practice to develop a LT. As has been the case in the past when the weakness on the line was LT, Newhouse should be getting help from a FB or TE, as well as from his LG.
========
If you want to criticize BB, I think that it would be for not using a 2nd or 3rd to trade for a veteran swing OT who could start until Wynn got back. His hope is that Dante can train up what he secures for short money.

What the H are you talking about??? Sarcasm???

So sorry Anthony Munoz wasnt available 2 weeks into the year!!! (SARCASM!!!)

Brady faced pressure, but not that much from the blind side.

What exactly can you expect from a guy who has been on the team for less than 2 weeks?!

I'm finally catching the game on GamePass.

No hot takes in this thread, please. X and O's, only.

Snap judgements, hot takes, and repressed anger/frustration can all go in the post-game thread.

So Winovich had less than 14 snaps?
