The Patriots have released veteran WR Demaryius Thomas and placed C David Andrews on IR, per league source. Cameron Meredith heads to PUP, meaning he is out for 6 games minimum.

Demaryius Thomas, like Brian Hoyer, doesn't need to go through waivers after being released. I wonder if the Patriots would bring him back if they have to put someone on injured reserve-return.
