Post Game Thread - Pats vs Jags

We will definitely need a better effort going forward. Our defense wasn't very good and our offense was inconsistent.

Let' discuss.

Adrian Clayborn is going to get Torn apart in the meeting tomorrow. THIRD 3rd down conversion he's allowed because he rushes too far upfield.

The Sony Michel pick if healthy is going to be huge. Michel already looking like the #1 RB.

Whelp. Here we go. Clearly a lot of us are suffering from ****ty soft Pats D disorder. The shadow of last year haunts many of us. BUT, we had a chance at the back end of the game to come close, against a team that is treating this like it was their Super Bowl. We don’t have our starting RT, our best receiver, our starting Safety got knocked out, and we also lost our best DE. So, all in all....not too bad. I’d be a **** head if I said this is an indicator of the year to come. It’s not. We’ll get some guys back. Important guys. We’ll continue to gel, and we will start smacking some people around. The coaches will identify some issues, and figure out a way to coach around the clear lack of talent someone has given them at particular positions this year. You want to see a win, and we didn’t get it. That hurts. BUT, I did say we would lose our first 2, so i cant be mad.

I saw this L coming.

Instead, we’re 1-1.

Not too shabby.

It could’ve been worse. At least none of our players retired at halftime.

Granted the offense struggled today but where do you start with this defence? No pass rush and the inability to cover those Crossing routes.

Every year we seem to put up at least one stinker so hopefully this is the only one for the year

Well, that sucked monkey balls. 1-1, we are onto the Lions. If we lose to the Lions...we are in trouble!

Team sucked. 10-14 on 3rd downs. Jags almost had 500 yards of total offense. Jags are clearly super bowl contenders and they might have to go through them.

Defense is BAD, hard to feel confident about any road game when this is the defense you're bringing.

If Foles and Bortles can light it up then any NFL quarterback is capable of it on their day.

The lack of talent and the level of the defense is more concerning than the loss, i'm not shocked they lost i'm shocked and horrified they let Bortles go Foles on them and we're back to square 1 with this defense.

It's hard to scheme around a lack of talent which is what the Patriots have on the defensive side of the ball.

Well now we are going to start hearing the Pats are done talk again, hopefully it lights a fire under.them. And hopefully this was getting their bad game of the year out of the way. Lol

Some of y'all must be in celebration mode, since the season is over for most of you at 1-1, feel free to leave and not come back...

There's really nothing good to say about this game :/

Has to be one of the worst defensive games I’ve seen in a while. A horrible offense killed them. I know the D will get better but man, that was hard to watch.

Ups for me: loved seeing Michel play, something to be excited about.

Downs: rest of the team.

Without looking, I don’t think this team is ever prepared for a Florida game in September. Get the “other teams QB looks like a hall of famer” game out now, because it’s all uphill from here.

Just rough. I cheered 3 or 4 times all game...

One stinker won’t hide the warts on this defense. I guarantee you they will allow other QBs to look great with the yardage.

Clayborn, Shelton and J.McCourty are all as bad or worse than the guys they replaced. Hightower, Chung and D.McCourty look slow.

That D ain't getting better. Results will improve as they start playing bad teams. But that's an awful unit talent wise.

Our LBs lack of athleticism and our lack of pass rush was again the main issue.

We need to see what Rivers can do.

Like someone else said nobody retired?

Brady under pressure all game, and headscratching run plays didn't help take anything off.

Bortles got to throw from a clean pocket.

Weather obviously affected them, they looked like they were playing slow motion.

Third down defense is still a problem.

Josh gets obsessed with certain players. He had to get Sony going. Had to get Patterson going. Why?

It'd be nice if Josh Gordon walked through that door.
