Rumor: Pats interested in Josh Rosen?

But wouldn't you hope that he'd learn a lesson from such a horrible call on his part? Jonathan Baldwin?

Falcons' Julio Jones gamble (opposed by Bill Belichick) paid off
I would hope that he’s learned a lesson in terms of his poor scouting at the position, but I’m still skeptical as to whether or not he’ll give up 3 high round picks to move into the top 6-7, as suggested.

We know that 2 high picks aren’t going to do it, so it would likely be 3. While it could pay off, that’s quite a gamble for a team who has more holes to fill than usual.

I disagree with this view.

Sure, we have 2019 needs at CB, OG, DE and QB. And yes, we'd all like a 3rd LB for our two LB system in case of injury.

As far as 2018, we have a hole at OT, which some think Belichick will accept for a year to see how the current players work out.
=============
QUARTERBACK
We seem to now be OK with trading 2 top picks. Given that we have four in the first two rounds, instead of 2, this seems right. Also, if we were to trade 3, we'd likely get back a 4th and/or 5th. In any case, we can trad down to secure those missing picks.
============
BOTTOM LINE
1) We have much draft resources (measured in value) than normal.
2) We should solve two needs in the first 2 rounds.

Patriots only have 1 real LB. The rest is JAG crap. The Patriots NEED another LB.

That's why I think is all this Trade up talk is Horse crap.

Exactly that's why the QB position can wait we can Draft one this year and another the next.

I'd put Van Noy at just above a JAG, but yeah... they're nothing to write home about. If they lose Hightower, they're easily the worst unit in the league.

I think the fact that you would put Van Noy above JAG highlights the absolute junk the Patriots have at LB.

Seen several mocks and to be honest I'm all over the place.

Connor and Miller have been by far the most projected and of course I like the idea if one of them gets selected and pans out. However, doesn't seem like sure picks as far as ot's but there is always the scar factor.

Does McCourty improve in a Pats uniform? Draft a cb like Jaire Alexander at 31 if he's there?

A LB like Evans at 23?

Do the Pats trade up and go get a qb, or just hold off to 43 for Rudolph?

A lot of story lines this year. Tough to focus.

If we don't draft a QB in the first round than i hope we draft vander esch. Really like him as a player. A tackling machine.

Btw, Anyone think Chubb is worth trading up for?

He's way out of reach. A top 5 lock. We don't have the draft ammo to get to #4 or #5 unless we give up a Herschel Walker type package, and I don't see BB doing that for anyone.

I don't think he's a top 5 lock at all. 4 QBs and Barkley is very likely IMO.

I just did a mock draft on first-pick and Rosen fell to 21 I went up and got him it cost me a third to move up 2 spots but I got a 5th back in return then took Evans at 31.

Rhetorical question as I know absolutely nothing about college prospects

Would be shocked and thrilled to see Thursday evening play out similarly.
