At least it’s good news. Unlike his reporting that the team was planning to promote Mayo without interviewing anyone. Which i convinced will prove to be a colossal mistake.
The similarities that i see are leadership and tenacity, plus the ability to throw darts with accuracy in the short passing game. And that is more than enough for me. I’d love to see JJ as the pick at 3.
Whatever. People assume drafting a OL is a sure thing, but the reality is that the success rate on drafting OL’s is no different. The difference is, if you hit on an OL your team still sucks, but if you hit on a QB your competing for Superbowls.
McCarthy will be the best pro in this draft class. Watch his game against Ohio State. He throws lasers with pinpoint accuracy all over the field. He will be deadly in the short to intermediate passing game. McCarthy has good mobility and all the intangibles. He’s also 3 years younger than...
Completely agree. McCarthy should be the pick at 3. He has good mobility & drives the ball with pinpoint accuracy & will be lethal in the short passing game. Deep passing with touch will come with time, just like it takes time for a young NBA player to develop the three ball.
McCarthy &...
Agreed. Daniel’s reminds me too much of Mac Jones. He doesn’t have a great arm & is surrounded by NFL talent. McCarthy is a proven winner with all the intangibles. He has good mobility. He has a great arm & drives the ball with pinpoint accuracy, he’s lethal in the short passing game. He...
Daniels reminds me of Mac. Doesn't have a great arm & was surrounded by a ton of talent in college. If McCarthy had LSU's weapons, he would have put up similar stats. McCarthy has the better arm & is by all accounts, the better leader. He's three years younger & has the potential to be the...
What’s there not to like about McCarthy? He seems to have all the tools with good arm strength, decent mobility and all the intangibles. He’s also 3 years younger than Daniels.
If Maye isn’t there at 3, I’d be fine with McCarthy.
Wow, just read Bedard & I’m starting to think this is the best thing the Pats have done this offseason. This guy can coach. And he wanted the Giants to draft Mahomes.
The offense might be OK, once they get some talent, with McAdoo & Van Pelt. Certainly could have done a lot worse.
I’m good with Caley. Knows the Pats traditional Perkins/Earhart offense and can modernize it with McVay concepts.
It would even be better if they can bring McDaniels back to oversee the Offense and provide council for Caley. They supposedly have a great working relationship.
