Exactly, people get let go for all sorts of reasons. GB have a lot of WR of similar production in Reed, Golden and Watson so paying Doubs doesn't make sense.

With a 55% pressure rate in the SB I'm not sure a playmaker alone in that game would have made much difference, i'm not saying it wouldn't help overall but the O line was the major problem in the SB

You are confusing a WR1 with the patriots no1 WR. If we hadn't signed Doubs Boutte would be our best WR but he wouldn't ever be considered a WR1 and Doubs is being paid as a WR2

I can see why people have concerns but there are lots of positives. The main gripe seems to be he isn't a WR1, the cost and we supposedly have similar already in the room. The positives are decent though. Good hands, good route runner, creates a lot of separation and has been top 5 for that...

He isn't being paid like a no1 WR so why is he a WR1? The GB system supposedly is about spreading the ball around and he was their leading WR last year plus he is more expensive because he isn't on a rookie contract. Boutte will be a lot more expensive in a couple of years
