Curious on that number, looking at OverTheCap, it looks like AJ has 1.3M base salary this year, and an option bonus of 11.2 due on Sept 1st, for a total of 12.5M. Now I'm not a cap guru, so I'm sure I could be missing details.

Which is of course interesting because the other big CB in line is Witherspoon, who has the same agents at CAA

Unless it is season ending, you probably don't want to make two changes to cover up one injury. That is why swing tackles are valuable.

As far as I can see, between Houston and Denver, one of their D-Ends was a high draft pick, just Anderson. The rest of them are 3rd rd picks and a UDFA, there is no one in Anderson's class in this draft, never mind at 31. I don't disagree that we need someone on the Edge, I'm just not sold...

OT at 31, or a dev guy on day 3, that is pretty much the tackle value.

Everyone is looking for a big fast tall X....unfortunaly not alot of good ones around, and the good ones go high. Some version of the slot should be easier, assuming they don't like one of the guys on the roster.

I think IOL is a bigger need than people realize, AVT's injury history, and Onwenu is a UFA next year, need to get some talent in the pipeline at the position.

I think the main point it there is no need to draft these guys high, there is better value at other positions, it just isn't as good as a WR draft as we've seen the last couple of years. There are always guys that get drafted late and surpass expectations, but I certainly wouldn't bet on it.
