Reiss: BB and Pioli break silence over Walsh

Re: BB and Pioli break silence over Walsh

So they came out with guns (sort of) blazing - denying the whole thing and basically calling Walsh a creep. Would you expect anything else?

Walsh may indeed be a jerk, but if he is a jerk that has a videotape of the rams walkthrough - BB and SP can deny all day long but they are screwed.

It is interesting that they specifically went into the tape recorded conversations part. As if they are going to paint him as a wannabe spy who ran around doing this kind of stuff on his own.

Go back to your Jets message board.

Go back to your Jets message board.

It took awhile but the trolls have finally come out eh? It's interesting that they are so eager to believe the accuser and NOT the accused.

Re: BB and Pioli break silence over Walsh

Tomorrow's Herald:

"An unnamed source, let's call him 'Mickey', says that the Pats say they didn't do anything wrong but ten unnamed sources from messageboards across the league don't believe BB and SP. Since we have ten unnamed sources, we think they are right and all of the Pats are going to jail."

Re: BB and Pioli break silence over Walsh

I know! This is exactly what Pats fans have been waiting for since spygate broke in week 1....we all knew there was good reason for them to be silent and when they would break it, we also knew they would have something very informative. And they did, moreso than anything that has been written this year on this whole matter. I love the Pats/BB/SP/the whole organization. If you truly look at it, they were the only ones with the real class this whole time...all these taints over such a minor issue

BB is exactly right. HE DID HIS JOB. If he had come out and talked about it earlier, IT WOULD have been a distraction. He took care of it AFTER he was done doing HIS JOB for the season and he needs to be applauded. Good for him. Finally, after all these months of ppl making up BS, its so great to actually hear THE TRUTH...and yes, IT IS THE TRUTH. I hope that moron Skip Bayless on ESPN raw chokes on this. Even though there was NO FACTUAL BASIS for his ASSUMPTIONS, he CONTINUED to say AS FACT that the Pats were going into the locker room at half time and decoding the signals. He stated this AS FACT. Finally all the haters and the irresponsible mediots get called out.

Re: BB and Pioli break silence over Walsh

Harry Manion on Sports Final with Lobel just tore the lawsuit guy a new one. Basically said its the single most frivolous lawsuit he has ever seen. The lawyer will quickly be facing sanctions from the federal court system for even filing this suit in the same court where Katrina victims are filing suit. What a great night to put all of this crap to bed.

Re: BB and Pioli break silence over Walsh

I understand your point but I still see him to blame. As the commishioner it was his job to handle this situation, not what the media wanted, but what was fair to the actual rule being broken. Media perceptions always are screwed, and were even worse after his punishment. When there was all these other minor scandals we heard about (the colts pumping noise in their dome, the collusion with the titans, the jets videotaping the pats last year) everything was dismissed. He had a chance to show everyone how minor this was and explain it thoroughly like BB did today but he didn't. And this whole thing turned into a mess that it never should have. I don't see this happening with Tagliabue.
i agree but its tough especially when it was against a new york team.esp with BB. The whole media called for his blood ,suspensions and to do something in par with pacman. one thing he couldve done. make a commitee of former respected coaches and ownsers and taken their ideas.then his decision wouldve had support.

Re: BB and Pioli break silence over Walsh

I e-mailed the link to Florio, King, and that old Dr Z guy. I am curious to see if any of the site pick up on it tomorrow.

They told the truth. Now, go back to your minor-league ruminations on Tubby Ratfink and the Green Beans.

Aw man, why make it easy for them? Reiss did his research, those lazy bastards should have done the same.

I am very curious to see how this gets spun tomorrow. I am betting a majority of them say "It's too late for an explanation now!" or something to that effect.

Re: BB and Pioli break silence over Walsh

I love how sportscenter broke into the broadcast with two quotes. Then it was back to stock footage of autoracing and the NBA all-star game.

Apparently this doesn't have the milage whereby some of the talking heads could start yapping out of their arses.

you know they will spin it . They will ask why BB didnt heed to the sept 2006 warning.
Did you read dr z column how kraft's friendship with goodell has helped the pats ?

they will just see the -ve.

all these reporters want BB to standup and answers questions which he wont. So they can continue to sling mud because he wont respond to each and everyone. I remember michael david smith of PFT asked BB in the SB press conf if he know how many other players on his team were using HGH lilke rodney.h

its on the ESPNews breaking news - Patriots deny taping STL in SB XXXVI. Well they did that before too.

Of course not. They want more dirt to throw at the team not less.

I don't watch their filthy channel anymore anyway...that's my way of telling ESPN FU". I have completely boycotted the Boston Herald...another "FU". Profootballtalk is very close to being on my FU list too. B, I just don't waste time hoping for fair and impartial reporting from those places. That's not what they are about.

On second thought, I think that those reporters are going to be more pissed that BB/Pioli didn't talk to them first. Peter King is going to be Extremely Offended.

Re: BB and Pioli break silence over Walsh

I'm still not sure why, but I feel so much better after reading that article.

Re: BB and Pioli break silence over Walsh

Are you F'in kidding me? THIS is what ESPN and Sportsline put up: BOSTON -- Patriots coach Bill Belichick has denied suggestions by a former employee that his club taped St. Louis' walkthrough before the 2002 Super Bowl.

Belichick told the Boston Globe that in his entire coaching career, he has never seen recordings of another team's practice before playing that team.

Still, Belichick apologized to the league, the other teams, the fans and the team for the controversy caused by the entire taping incident.

WTF, man? Everyone wanted a damn explanation, now he gives it and they don't even print it. Son of a *****!!!!

I swear to Christ, BB could save a bunch of babies trapped in a burning nursery, and ESPN would twist it into "Belichick lights nursery on fire".

Re: BB and Pioli break silence over Walsh

From a tool on buffalobills.com :

"Word association game:

Cheater...

Liar?????

Yeah, that fits."

If it doesn't fit with their d@mn conspiracy theories, it's a lie. I swear some of the people (I use the term loosely) on that site are the biggest a-holes. There are some good ones, but there really are some f'n a-holes.
**** those people Smoke. Next fall we will drive our enamies before us ,and hear the lamentations of their women. :rocker:
