If the Chargers get their head out of their collective asses and respond with a win next week, then it would look like this:

# 1 14-3 New England, bye
#2 13-4 Jacksonville vs #7 12-5 Chargers
#3 13-4 Denver vs #6 12-5 Houston*
#4 Pitt/Baltimore vs #5 13-4/12-5 Buffalo*

* Buffalo would be #5 if they can come back to beat Philly.
If not then Houston becomes #5, Bills drop to #6 and play at Denver.

I'm not sure what I am missing. If there are 7 playoff teams and 1 bye then doesn't the #2 play #7? 3-6 4-5?

Chargers have nothing to play for next week, I don't see them beating Denver.
What are you talking about? They have plenty to play for. They win, they get a better seed.
Plus, you want to be playing sharp heading into the playoffs.
They have a good shot at beating Denver

Yes, #2-#7, #3-#6, #4-#5.

I was attempting to point out #4 and #5 is was up in the air, between Buffalo and Houston.
Starting to look like the Bills will be #6 (or #7 if the Chargers can beat Denver), and Houston #5.

In your scenario (which im probably having my playoff seeds falling that way with buffalo losing) , buffalo would go to denver rd 2 since theyd be the lowest seed and Houston comes here

Hmmm.., if you are the Chargers, would you rather face Pats or Jags? At this moment, don’t really care.

Do they re-seed after the WC round?

Nope, lowest remaining seed will travel to denver round 2.

My current bracket and first round winners look exactly like yours. Im thinking buffalo comes to foxboro in the afcc

Either way, I don’t see Denver beating either Houston or Buffalo in the division round, even at Mile High. If we can win two home playoff games, we’ll host the AFCC game.

They already got ****kicked by Jacksonville if I remember right.

We already beat Houston in Houston. Nothing scares me about the Bills other than Allen. In Mile High with 2 weeks prep, I like Denver’s chances against either of those teams.

I think the Jags will beat the Bills handily. Their last meeting the Jags won and that's when they weren't even a good team. The Broncos vs. any AFC team depends on what version of Bo Nix comes to play that day. The Ravens or Steelers will be the absolute weakest opponent.
