Are you insinuating playing Wagner as an edge rusher? He’s always been an ILB/MLB…He’d replace someone like Ellis or Tavai..

Not that it’s likely or that I’ve heard anything regarding this, but just a hypothetical. Let’s say Bobby Wagner is released because the Redskins suck & able to sign with a contender; would you want to sign him for the remainder of the season/playoff run? He’s 35, but still playing at a decently high level, has been a top 1-5 LB since his arrival & has championship pedigree. Mind you, that defense is horrific, but Wagner has 130 tackles, 2 INTs & 3 sacks. He’s obviously not as quick as he used to be, but his knowledge and savvi alone would augment the alignments/communication/performance of our defense. Wagner, Spillane, Tavai, Ellis, Gibbens would be sweet.

Of course we'd sign Bobby Wagner for $800K for the rest of the year. So would any of the other playoff team.

The issue is NOT wheter Wagner is better than Landry. It is a matter of whether he would contribute more than ANY player on the roster.
I would rather have Wagner on the 53 than say Caleb Murphy.
