10M per year? T.J. Watt is getting 41M per year! Parsons will want, and get more than that.
$10M per year more than McC. missed there "more"

The superior player.
I don't think that the assumption should be that the cost would be the same.

For example, would so many choose Parsons if the cost was 2 firsts more than McLaurin?

Parsons and it’s not even close. I don’t think McLaurin is that special of a player. Parsons definitely is. Dynasty type of defense if you add Parsons.
never heard of mclaurin until this offseason lol

What players as good as Parsons have the Pat's drafted in the first round?

Richard Seymour, Vince Wilfork, and Christian Gonzalez is looking like a perennial All Pro. Plus a whole bunch of other players, like McCourty, Hightower, and Jones, who were great players.

I love Parsons, he was the guy I wanted in that draft, but this is a move you make when you are knocking on the door, and he’s the piece that puts you over the top, not when you are still building, and a couple years or more from truly contending for a Brady Trophy.

Not giving up the draft picks. Right now we need depth more than one shiny object. Plus even though we have a crap ton of cap space we need to roll it over into next year.

If we trade for either, we should have a deal with Gonzo done first or at the same time of said trade and contract with Parsons or Terry.

Its the draft capital we would have to trade that would be prohibitive.
I would consider the trade for Micah only if the first rounders we would be giving up were in the 20-32 range.
I expect we will be picking top 10 again next year. Can not trade high first rounders during a rebuild

Exactly, it depends how confident we are we can win over the next 2 years

Neither player is likely headed anywhere but back to their respective teams.

That being said, say you trade for Parsons, what do you do with Pro Bowl caliber starter Harold Landry… bring him off the bench? Silly…

Terry is at least a semi position of need until we see what they have in the young rookies.

I agree with this in concept. That said the Bars picked 10 this year and had 5 wins. The Cardinals had 8 wins and picked 16th. I really don't think we are picking in top 10 in the next 2 years. To be clear, I don't want to give up 2 1sts, but I don't expect either to be in top 10, I would guess both picks will be 16 or later, so second half of the first round.

Which is reasonable, especially if we are thinking both picks are in the twenty’s.

Which very well could happen if we would add Parsons.

You can pretend to blame the chaotic Cowboys for Parsons issues... but this guy is destined to be a FA mercenary the rest of his career if he blows it up now. He's a headache, a prima donna, and has all the signs of going the way of Owens, or even AB, as far as the mental issues. Not worth it!
I would absolutely trade Bourne for McC (but I don't want to keep hamstringing our drafted developing WR's for old vet rentals)
That's how you go broke, and stay mediocre in the pass game.

To answer the question you always take the generational pass rubber all the time

Jerry Jones said it’s all part of negotiations,
He doesn’t seem fazed.
He’s not going anywhere, Jerry said the fans were louder about paying Lamb.

If youre in a SB window you take a swing at it.
