2025 Draft: WRs

It's certainly a dood draft for WR 2 and WR 3 types. I like all 3 you mention but I'm hoping we're drafting a WR before day 3.
I think we can wait for our WR's in Rounds 3 and 4 and you know I'm a WR guy. I think there will be plenty guys available not every Team is Drafting WR's. I am for Double Dipping @ OL early so that position is set for years to come: keeping Drake Maye Upright should be our priority.

@TommyD4207 You have been busting my chops about this Elic Ayemanor 6'1 206: I would take a flier on him in the Third Round he should be on our WR Draft Board. Same for Tre Harris.

I don't think either will make it to 3

There is a real shortage of guys who can play the X position. I think that drives Ayomanor into the 2nd and Tre Harris will be a top 3 wr on quite a few boards. We'll see but I think both go top 50-60.

Ain’t that the truth. Figures the one year we need a LT like Alt or a wr like Harrison, Nabers or Thomas and there’s no clear cut winner at pick 4.

What do you think of Kyle Williams and his ability to play X? He is very good against press due to his releases and quicks.

It's interesting that Hayden Winks came up with the Brandin Cooks comp because that was exactly who I was thinking of.

Thanks Manx, Hayden Winks is someone I enjoy listening to. I know this is your guy Manx and I am seeing it as well

Didn't he play with Ward last year?

Yes he did.

If you don't mind me interjecting on the "is he an X receiver" question, I'd say yes - anyone with his ability to beat press man coverage and to win vertically should be considered for the X. However, with Williams, I'm not so sure he's up to being a permanent X. He wins deep and he wins short but I think he lacks the ability to win on breaking routes in the 10-20 yard range. Travis Hunter locked him up on in-breaking slants for example, so he's not a guaranteed 'get the first down' guy you want from a no 1 X receiver. At least not yet. He'd be best served moving across all three positions - put him on the slowest corner and get the match up wins. That's how I see him but I look forward to BGC's take.

Hey draftniks, who is the guy that you were higher on the most everyone else and you were willing to die on the hill of him being better than others thought.

Mine is David Montgomery

I keep reading it is a weak draft but it seems deep at WR and DL. Am I missing something? Too caught up in the draft and losing perspective?
