- Seahawks trade Geno to the Raiders for a 3rd
- Seahawks trade pick #18 and DK Metcalf to the Pats for pick #4
- Seahawks trade pick #4, their own 2nd rounder, the Raiders 3rd rounder, and their 2026 1st rounder to the Titans for pick #1
- Seahawks draft Cam Ward

Yeah thats what the trade chart pretty much says. Well not next years second, although in practice, you probably would get more due to other teams wanting to jump the offer.

I'd push for that next years 1st as well. I mean you want to go from 18 to 4, plus I need to pay DK a massive contract..yeah you get to pay. So this years 18th, this years second and next years 1st.

That would actually be really smart if they're willing to let Sanders sit for 2 years. Although blowing a 3rd on Geno Smith (not terrible b/c QB, but still a team that desperately needs talent), would seem to me that they think they're closer than I think they are.

There are some QB's that you're just never going to win a SB with. Geno is one of those. Darnold and Brock Purdy are others.

They just don't have "it". That swagger. Drake's rookie year was good but not perfect, but he definitely has that swagger about him.

I just realised LV traded for him because of Pete Carroll - they will be stuck in mediocrity until both of them are gone. Perhaps they will still be after Sanders and want Geno as a mentor?

I don't think that's enough compensation either, but you're getting the Seahawks first in that scenario that he gave.

Again everyone is getting hung up on the DK trade value piece but the point of the post was to show a creative way for Seattle to use their pieces as trade chips to move up to get the top QB in the draft. Whether they only sent DK and #18, or sent DK and #18 and their 2nd rounder, doesn’t really make a difference. Not the point of the post

It makes a huge difference because DK isn't worth dropping back 14 slots.

Geno only has 1 year left at $14M. Darnold probably wants at least a 3 year deal, maybe a 5 year deal, because he is only 27 years old and still improving. Geno could be viewed as a bridge QB to a new draft pick. Darnold does not want to be a bridge QB.
