Patriots Player Departure Rap: KJ Osborn waived

So long KJ - we hardly knew ya! You are living proof however with your current stats, (7 games played / 7 receptions made) that the Pats can’t just draft “One Catch Wonders” (Thornton & Polk) they can also sign ‘em as free agents as well!!

t
With the players who could be coming in there might not be room in the Inn for a struggling player.

T Higgins - T Hunter - Pop Douglas - Boutte.
or
T Higgins - Tet McMillan - Pop Douglas - Boutte.

Polk and Baker have a steep uphill climb already.
I don’t know if Higgins is worth the money it will take to get him here.
We fumbled Ridley.
I really love Gonzo but wish we had Zay Flowers’s.
**** I’d offer our second for Jordan Addison.

Ridley saw Mac Jones and said F No!

Another good decision, Wolfie ...

Two of Wolf's big offseason free agent swoops: Osborn and Chuka

???

Osborn was signed as a veteran presence for this year until Bourne came back and in case we could get two contributors out of the rest

He fulfilled these roles.. We know have Bourne, Douglas and Boutte (as well as Henry and Hooper) as our receivers.

Thank you to Osborn.

Hmm see thread about Wolfe as GM worse than BB
He should be held accountable and fired after end of season
Obvious move that any competent organization would make

Much more so than Mayo
I have a hard time parsing out the blame. In my opinion either can them all or give them all another shot.

Just because of Maye's development I guess I'd say AVP has done the best of the group. He's also obviously Wolf's best move too regardless of how obvious it was.

I lean toward handing a lot of blame to Covington because his unit clearly has performed worse than last year. But shouldn't that fall more on Mayo since he's a defensive minded HC?

Which circles us back to GM because he ignored the D all off season and missed on the offensive players he did aquire.

There is obviously plenty of blame to go around and they wanted a collaboration so don't let them start throwing each other under the bus it should be all or none.

My Man, you almost always find the silver lining in an otherwise dark sky. Good on ya!

Maye clearly doesn’t trust him.
Polk needs to really get it in gear next season.
A release next training camp is not out of the question.
Or a trade for a late rounder with some team hoping better coaching gets more out of him.

I don't know what we might get there. Polk and a 6th rounder for a conditional 7th maybe?
Probably more to be gained just cutting his ass. At least then the team shows it's not in the business of tolerating failure in combination with a mouthy ego problem. "Best hands in the league" my ass, take your "best hands" and 5¢ head and gtfo

Bad picks are going to happe, it's endemic to the NFL process. **** attitudes OTOH happen because they're allowed to

Higgins or bust. He’s a far better player than Ridley. People always talk about the Jamar chase effect on Higgins, but the effect Higgins has on chase’s production can’t be ignored either. The bengals offense is on a completely different level when Higgins plays.

Pats need to pay up for him.

Dude got fired from the worst WR room in the NFL. That should tell you something.

Like @maust, I thought this signing had a real possibility of being a good one. Vet WR with decent history coming to a young team on the rebuild. Instead, he's proven to be a problem and another reason for me to spout on why free agency sucks.

@Steve102 and Maust "Free Agency sucks. Don't believe me? Look no further than K.J. Osborn"
Also @Steve102 and Maust "Free agency rocks. Don't believe me? Look no further than Antonio Gibson."

And with that we can sit back and profundly sip our bourbon, knowing no one gives enough of a damn about our opinions to hold them against us. Or at least no one who matters, screw those other no talent ****heads

What goes on with the coaching here that receivers like JuJu and KJ who were adequate to decent elsewhere come here and flat out stink along with our drafted WRs spinning their wheels in grease at the starting line? Something is dreadfully wrong with the people who are supposed to be integrating these guys into the system.

In all fairness, the JuJu fail wasn't coachng it was a terrible signing. He came in as damaged goods and he's not doing all that much better in KC with the best QB in the game chucking him the ball than he did here. @ 200 yards in 10 games this year. That's with 7 pass catchers on IR and Mahomes actively looking for someone to step up, JuJu is toast

I’m glad you can see it, can Robert?

We are going to be known as the place where free agent WRs careers go to die.

Best of luck to him ...
There are no reps for him here.

This was a mutual parting ...
so I hope he can latch on elsewhere.

I prefer not to have twigs at WR. See Tyquan Thornton as to why.
