GOOD NEWS: Thornton had a "great week of practice"

They couldn't beat the Jaguars... there's a lot of hoping and dreaming here.
Mayo is feeling the the One and Done HC heat he needs some wins.

The fact we still don't know who our best WRs are is scary. They should know our tallest lilliputians by now.
???

We won't know who our best 2024 WR's are until a couple of more weeks of Maye. One of the ost important goals of the SEASON is to find out how good our receivers working with Maye in our new Offense. And you think it's scary that after [laying with Maye for a few reps, we don't know our best WR's.
=========
That being said, we know a lot.
For NOW, our best receiver is Henry.
For NOW, our best WR's are Bourne, Douglas and Boutte.
If we were in contention, these four (plus Gibson and Hooper) might be getting almost all the targets.
====
As it is, we are evaluating before the trade deadline and we want a better idea of the potential of the rest of receivers, as well as what the coaches need to do to develop that potential.

Thronton and Osborn have two more games to show their stuff before the trade deadline. Baker might get a few reps in the next couple of weeks.

Polk needs time to sit and reflect.
=====
BOTTOM LINE
We certainly have no need for more than 5 receivers. The rookies will be kept at least through next year's camp.

Thornton and/or Osborne could be cut or traded at any time,

I hope TT can turn the corner... for no specific reason, i like the kid, and I would really like to see him succeed, start something he can build from... doesnt need to be a massive statement-type game... but a few steady, sure handed catches would do him a world of good...

Boutte, Tyquan and pop need to be the focal point at WR. If baker can ever find his way on the field then he too. Tyquan would greatly benefit from Drake. He and Boutte could work those deep post routes to get behind defenses. If he can work out a repore with Drake we may have salvaged a 2nd round pick.

TT magically had a great week of practice? Or did the coaches prefer to play Polk to try and make the new regime's draft pick look good?

Maybe Maye likes Tyquan? If you were the QB would you like the guy stretching the field to run a 4.2 or a 4.5?

Do you think 22 yards of total rushing by the RBs last week has anything to do with it? Maybe it is a good idea to stretch the field when the defense has 10 guys within 10 yards of the LOS?

Tyquan magically had a great week after the coaches taught him a lesson. Something is so wrong about the messaging from this management team.

I get the impression we have fans who want Tyquon to fail so they can say “I told you so.”

Don't piss in my ear and then tell me it's raining...
