Patriots waive Grier. Bill must go.

Bill's mishandling of the post-Brady qb situation alone argues for his being fired. Getting rid of Grier may well make sense, but if you examine the history of the team's qb's this year, - the utter lack of progress in finding a next qb - you can only conclude that Bill's either lost his cognitive edge or is so poisoned with rage or megalomania that he can no longer do productive work.

Up to now, I have felt sympathy for Bill's situation, but the smirky ******** at press conferences is starting to piss me off: basically he's just saying "**** you" to press, fans, arguably even the owner.

**** you too, Bill.
If BB stayed the course with Mac on his ascension after his rookie season. We'd be in a much better situation. Mac is all screwed up therefore he's making bad decisions leading to bad play at the position. Bill is already 71 he looks like he's aged 5 years this season. I'm just ready for the season to end now.

Grier wasn't going to turn the season around for us. It honestly probably doesn't matter which QB you start at this point; every QB in that room is a liability. If you want to argue that the mismanagement of the QB situation warrants a review of BB's employment, fair cop, but cutting Grier is so inconsequential as to be meaningless.

The future franchise QB is out there somewhere...but he's not on the team now, so anyone you cut in 2023 really doesn't matter.

Really you've had sympathy for up until now and all of the sudden you've decided Bill's press conferences are the reason to curse him out. Hey if it helps you sleep at night.

Wich the more I think of it how it looked like early on... the Mac was the guy. Last season I believed was the undoubtedly undoing. Couple that with a expansion team roster, and distrust.

Was there ever a reason why the signed him in the first place ?.......injury cover ?

Honestly reason for this post I think the fact Grier said he thinks he can play and win and just needs a chance rubbed Bill the wrong way.
I think that’s the reason he was released.

Grier has the stronger arm is more mobile than Mac and Bailey and was thought goof enough to back Dak and Burrow. You honestly think he’s a worse option that what we’ve been putting on the field it’s a joke.

But...but...but...I thought Grier was going to save the season....I thought he was going to be starting Sunday.

Time to double down on that state secret who is going to start for his 2-8 team against the league powerhouse Giants. ESPN should have the decision broadcast on a special like LeBron’s The Decision

I have indeed had - and expressed here - sympathy for his situation. I probably still have some, or could conjure some up, should circumstances change. It is never easy to experience the sort of decline which can precede retirement: I have seen it in my own family. I myself retired when I sensed that my own level of commitment to my work might be waning. I retired on top, a luxury Bill has chosen foolishly to forfeit. I did not say my change of heart was "sudden:" it was not. If you wish your argument to be respected, you might consider bringing a little honesty to the task, rather than misprepresenting what has been said.

Bill's behavior recently at press conferences has been cowardly and mendacious. He typically refuses honestly to engage a question, and when does does so, the answer is in the nature of a lie, or of sneering obfuscation. When he talks to the reporters, he's talking to us. When he sneers at the reporters, he is sneering at us. His utter lack of self-awareness is dishonest and narcissistic, whether it is intentional posturing in the service of self-protection, as I suspect, or actual pathology. You may choose to respect such horseshit: I do not. Maybe once he has gone and has escaped the pressures of his ongoing failures, he can regain a little honesty and humility, and regain the respect of those who have turned their backs on him. I hope so. Then we can put his present failures behind us, and celebrate his past successes. That may take some time, however. The sooner we fire him, the sooner that day may come.

I wish the end of Bill's tenure could have been a happier occasion, but he has made that impossible, as he has made the team arguably the worst in the league, and refuses to be honest in acknowleddging this or forthcoming as to his plan to remedy the matter, if he has one.

You used the phrases "Up to now" and "starting to" so you apparently misrepresented yourself. But if you really feel that way about BBs press conference then all I can say is wow and move along.

why? Why hasn’t he practiced at QB since week 6?? The disconnect and dysfunction is out of contol.
Because he's probably not a viable QB and like Edelman they want to develop him at a different position.

I think way too many people put a lot of stock in our bench out of desperation and now are realizing how shallow it really was.

Now it's kinda obvious why they stuck with Mac so long. Cunningham probably isn't even a viable backup QB and is being looked at as more of a WR, Grier is undeveloped and not viable, and Zappe is the only viable back up but he's so bad that they didn't care if they lost him on waivers to free up some space.

The QB room has been total junk for awhile.

My faith in Bill’s ability to evaluate a QB is zero.
I mean the only success stories are Brady and Garropolo.

Brady was a 6th round pick, so we should probably stop pretending that it is something Bill or anybody can replicate. That was the ultimate "we found a diamond at an extremely low risk spot and he turned out to have a Goku like work ethic to become what he did" and Jimmy G was another example of this team drafting somebody who showed flashes of talent but had huge injuries as a negative. And at the QB position, you can't have Gronk level reliability. You need someone who can play 17 games a year each year with extremely minor abberations.

Tell me about your observations at practice this week and why we should give two effs about Grier.

Stupid eff’n thread title. Asshat.
