...until he fell back to earth.Yet, they were very effective with Zappe as quarterback.
Oh absolutely, sorry I had gotten confused on the post. #12 is In a class by himself.. yes absolutely he showed his clutch ability and greatness very early on in his career.. however his OC was an alpha in wiess.. he didn't have one good promising season, and then get set up to fail in his 2nd.. like Mac did. I was just making the point that yes while Zappe given the circumstances he was in the GB game coming in and playing well, the Browns game, the lions game. He made some great plays early in the bears game and then they caught on to him. I like Mac and zappe both.At Miami, at Denver, many times when the offense struggled, yet young learning Tom would still make enough plays to win games.
Yeah BB legacy was stained after his coaching debacle with Fatt Matt and judge last year….one of the worst decisions by a NFL head coach ever as far as a coaching/scheming move…I’m glad Patricia is goneAt least the Eagles are smart enough to employ him on the defense.
Are you serious here…? “Matty P is no worse than any other OC in the league?” Obviously, he is not an OC…… I would agree with you, if you were saying that he was on par with many DC in league right now that are average/mediocreScapegoat.
Matty P is no worse than any other OC in the league.
They all refuse to commit to the run.
If Bill had kept Zappe in there everyone would be conjuring up excuses for our success (at least playoffs).
I'm sure a REAL offensive coach like Siriani won't allow him anywhere near the offensive side.Too bad they didn't hire Judge and Achord as well.. *sigh*
I wouldn't call 2 bad quarters where he wasn't even the starter falling back to earth. Although in that sense it was like Mac's rookie game against NO....until he fell back to earth.

I find him to be an arrogant prick, although he did wave to me once so that was neat.?
He did the job for us in multiple Super Bowls
and he wore the clown nose T-shirt
and with that beard he would fit right in in the Red Sox' dugout
Um, well, his second season they missed the playoffs, they had the same passer rating (85), and the same yds per game.Oh absolutely, sorry I had gotten confused on the post. #12 is In a class by himself.. yes absolutely he showed his clutch ability and greatness very early on in his career.. however his OC was an alpha in wiess.. he didn't have one good promising season, and then get set up to fail in his 2nd.. like Mac did. The one thing I would have to disagree with is the bit about mediocre defenses. I'm not sure how you came up with that. In 2016, they were the #1 defense in the league.I find him to be an arrogant prick, although he did wave to me once so that was neat.
I liked the T-shirt. I wore it too.
If you give him credit for those Super Bowl wins I won’t try to take that away from you.
I thought his defenses were mediocre. And he took the job on offense and was shockingly bad at it.
This is huge addition by subtraction and I am THRILLED to see him go.
You can like him. I hate him as a coach.
the issue with your list is this -Based upon watching the other offenses in the league as well.
And, it's been heavily reported that
-The Patriots were a laughingstock for thirty years before 1990
-Drew Blesdsoe is the second best quarterback in Patriots history
-The Patriots taped the Rams' walkthrough prior to Super Bowl 36
-Tom Brady and the Patriots did something to manipulate footballs and violate rules
and on and on
I overstated the “mediocre” part to make an exaggerated point. Come on, give me a break… I don’t expect anyone to really accept what I’m talking aboutThe one thing I would have to disagree with is the bit about mediocre defenses. I'm not sure how you came up with that. In 2016, they were the #1 defense in the league.
I think the debacle of the Eagles Super Bowl has twisted us a little bit, because the D in that 4 year span was pretty good. Before that, not so much. But they were still building after losing all their stars of the first dynasty.
... where his buddy Mac Jones was already hanging out since 2021....until he fell back to earth.

I would. Doesn't have the arm strength.I wouldn't call 2 bad quarters where he wasn't even the starter falling back to earth. Although in that sense it was like Mac's rookie game against NO.
Not accurate. Mac was more than fine his rookie year.... where his buddy Mac Jones was already hanging out since 2021.
