Our leader Robert Kraft likes Mac Jones

Kraft is in denial.

I'm not a fan of Mac's style of play and his antics, but he was set up for failure last season. As Kurt Warner stated, your offense will never be good if you can't build around your QB. You need more guys who can provide big plays as the offense will eventually crap out when you have to drive 10-12+ plays all the time. You also need someone who can actually teach the concepts rather than just watching it on film which was a laughable take from some on here.

I don't think Bill O'Brien is the answer, but he will be better than that DC moonlighting as an OC was.

It seems Mac has alot of support from fellow players around the league, Girardi mentioned an unnamed player said Mac impressed during his rookie season and garnered respect from players league wide.. they feel BB screwed him this season..

No, Obrien isn't THE answer.

Securing Mahomes as an addition to the team would be THE answer.

What we need is good, efficient QB play, Mac isn't mahomes, Allen or burrow. What he is, is smart, accurate, hard working, team first, selfless, can analyze defenses..

Under o'Brien we should see that.. we all should be rooting for Mac to do well as we have a solid team around him, all we need is a few pieces on offense and defense.. if Mac does well then the team does well.. I don't want him to fail as all that's going to do is make us one of those teams thats back in the draft in 2,3 years looking for another guy..

Since that is not happening, you would have to build around Mac or for the next guy.

He's just an owner who wants to believe that Mac is a good QB as that is the optimal scenario for him or he wants to give that impression to support his QB. He is not going to say Mac sucks.

Mac looked really good in season 1 against teams that he should have looked good against. Later in the season he regressed. Season 2 was a disaster with coaching, the offensive line and Mac regressed more. They should have stuck with Zappe when he was hot…and no I don’t think he had a bad game like some do here but he was also a rookie. IMO Mac will show more maturity in season 3 and look like the player we saw in the 1st half of his 1st season.

Kraft believes that the coaching and probably the offensive line were a big part of the problem. I agree.

"We're blessed to have a great young quarterback in Mac Jones, and I'm a strong believer in him and his development." - Robert Kraft

Last off-season he was talking disappointment over the lack of playoff success.

I guess this off-season he's taking the lower the bar approach.

He had no problem saying 2022 was unexceptable he showed his displeasure in the letter to the fans, and the teams statements regarding coaches.. I believe Kraft, I think he's a sincere owner..

Furthermore he knows Mac was set up to fail this past season as it was an embarrassment to the organization..

Mac doesn't suck at all.. we need to all want Mac to do well as that will propel us back into contention

IMO Bill is probably “sticking with” both guys this year. He will plan to have Mac as the starter and do his best to prop up a good offensive situation around him, but will also leave the door cracked for Zappe builds on an impressive rookie showing and comes into minicamp and training camp looking sharp. Even then, Mac would probably still be the starter unless he looks bad in camp (which seems unlikely) but I do think Bill will keep an eye on both players. That good offensive situation benefits either guy. He may also lean on O’Brien as the QB Coach to give his own analysis of the capability of both players as camp goes on.

It’ll be interesting to see how things change as they presumably go back to an EP system that Mac already ran for a year, but Zappe only has experience with the bizarro Patricia-Judge offense.

Either way, I think it’s for the best as Zappe having a chance at the job means he pushes Mac to be his best.

That's almost exactly what he said last off-season.

According to the Bill apologists, Kraft was in on the genius plan to "bomb for BoB" that required using FM/JJ as place holders. If so, Kraft is as responsible as Bill.
