The bengals are a primarily shotgun based passing offense with a (mostly) pocket passer. The pats have had success against these high powered offenses before as they play dime & play into their strengths on defense. Think of how they've played against Herbert recently. The D is still susceptible mobile QBs that can expose their lack of speed in the middle. Not sure how much Joe will want to run in this one.
I think the D is going to come to play today. It'll make it that much worse if (when?) the offense lays another stinker. Hoping for something competent on that side of the ball is wishful thinking at this point IMO.
A win would totally change the dynamic of the times. Would actually give me alot of confidence going into next week too. The team needs this one after last week , We’ll see
This really seems like a "connect the dots of BoB contract expiring" and bb saying "cant change offenses mid year" plus saban. I really dont think there are any actual sources behind it but just some clickbait to land on game day.
Also after emphasizing so much to move the shanahan scheme and move away from the older style of offense , why would they bring back BoB especially if he leaves in 2 yrs ?
