DRAFT DAY DISCUSSION Official 2022 NFL Draft Thread: Day 3

I don't mind the attempt in the 2nd to get a fast WR - every WR is a gamble. I don't mind going after 2 CB's, because we're going to need more talent there... but getting a very average RB and a non-athletic JAG QB in the 4th is INSANE! It felt like one of these purposeful wasted drafts going into it, and BB hasn't disappointed. He's just throwing at the dartboard and trying to piss everyone off and stroke his ego of "I don't need the draft, I'm brilliant". So dumb. You could be taking stabs at OT's or EDGE guys, or DT's or more WR's even.... but QB in the 4th???

Because our back up is well in to his 30s and the other never showed he can handle the job?
Stidham definitely never fit BBs mindset as a starting QB but I think the argument can be made that he didn’t get the reps to at least rule him out that most rook QB get….even when it was obvious that Cam sucked a** and was taking us nowhere…..he should have started the last 6-7 games and at the least shown “enough” something to another team so we could move him in trade…..it will be interesting if Stid gets another shot somewhere….but kind of feel like the guy got a raw deal here

That’s a good point… At the time I remember all the analysts saying that N’Keal harry was going to be one of the greatest superstars for the next decade… And look how that worked out
Besides Herm Edwards, I don't really remember any analyst going crazy for Harry.

All I am saying is package nkeal with 7th/6th round and move to 5th and get the player you want.

Why are we still holding to players like Harry or stidham who will be getting cut. Unless nobody is interested in them.
You prob just answered your own question. Nobody wants them.

Harry - I have no idea. Stid's trade value skyrockets this August when other team's QB get hurt in training camp.

I agree that Stid didn get a fair deal. Cards were stacked against him. But he didn’t play his hand well enough either. And now he’s had years of training from Hoyer on how to accept being second fiddle. He might get a chance somewhere but I’m not sure he’ll prove up to being a quality starter. I’d be happy for him if he does, but not optimistic.

It took until pick 141 for a player I couldn’t identify. I need to read more.

Taking away those teams with a bounty of picks (jets cheifs ravens giants eagles to name a few) I think Atlanta has done well this week. I think those Harry comparisons with London are way off. They got their qb ridder in the 3rd and added IMO a solid rb later on. They needed a talent infusion on offense. Also improved the defense with additions of ebiketie and Anderson.

Just has to be backup quality and he makes more money in 10 years than you or I will make in a lifetime.

They couldn’t get a 8th for Harry.
Yeah Harry will be a pure cut…No one will give you a bag of tacos for the guy
that’s the point everybody misses when they say trade Harry. packaging him with picks to move up would likely cost higher picks than not packaging him and trading a package of bare picks.

Got their heads up their Arsenal.
I’m surprised Baltimore didn’t make an inquiry. They had 6 picks in the 4th. Why not throw one away.

Could’ve traded a 4th for Harry and a 6th.

Great post thx

Because the ravens are a competent organization. I hate them but gotta give credit.

yes. And life as a backup NFL QB isn’t a bad lifestyle I’m sure. Getting paid to keep yourself fit and healthy would be such a nice change for so many of us being paid to sacrifice a healthy lifestyle for the demands of our job!
