What's Gronk salary lately? 10 Mi /year? Can we afford that and unleash the 3 TE offense or kick Jonu Smith out.

Seems like he isn't staying in Tampa, he certainly won't go to a team sucking, the Pats is kind of rebuilding somewhat but young and promising QB, good pieces on offense, he knows this is a playoff team. He doesn't to be the #1 receiving option anymore, he can't even handle that stress, BB would know how to use his blocking skills plus end zone target better than anyone...or not.

Maybe Buffalo since he is from there would be his choice, it would be a hell of a fit.

No chance unless BB steps down.

Gronk is going to wherever Brady goes to as he should because he hated playing here by the end.

I think Gronk would have returned if Bill would have him and Brady stayed in NE, but I think he was happier to go to Tampa. All that said, he isn’t returning here.

Why is there a love for guys to come back after they leave? Especially "bad breakups"?

Count me in the no way in he'll group. He RETIRED rather then play for BB. He clearly wants to have fun, with no rules, and at this point in his career he has earned that. That is not the way things are run at Foxboro so IMO the odds of him coming back are zero.

Because they're good football players?

I don't think the break up was that bad, Gronk is a baller, things were rough in NE but he knows that's what it takes to win. Many times he echoed BBs speech "it's difficult to win games in this league" etc and for me it was genuine.

The real beef for me was the injuries and how bad the Patriots handled those.

Not bad? Gronk hated it here in the end. Hated it so bad he retired. There is zero chance he's back with the Pats. Zero.

Gronk should be remembered as a best TE and part of a great Patriots history. His presumptive come back might be a misunderstanding.

Even if he didn't hate playing for belichick, why would he want to come here? Just a mediocre team with a terrible (no, it's "top 3!!" Lol) defense.

He's going where Brady goes. Whether that's retirement or the 49ers.

Gronk currently is close to being as quick and stiff as my mom. Sure she's fairly active, still plays tennis, and uses bi-flex...but maybe Gronk should retire before his body is less althelitic than a 72 year old woman.

You would think Kyle Shanahan would finally come to his senses and realize this may be his only shot to emerge from his father’s shadow and win a Super Bowl by calling up Tom Brady. But I don’t see it happening as he may be the most stubborn coach in the NFL. In fact, the last two QB’s he passed on won a Super Bowl. That’s just hilarious.

There's a better chance that he retires than he comes back here. We also have more pressing needs than tight end at this point. My binkie Asiasi is going to have a breakout year in 2022!!!! woooooooooooohhhhhhoooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
FIFY :haha:
