Thought it might be fun to have a thread devoted to how other fanbases are handling a potential New England resurgence with Mac Jones at the helm.

Starting with a classic from the draft: the Jete fan who knows what’s going on yet still remains a Jete fan.




Today’s update is the view from San Francisco after last night’s game. There‘s more salt here than in the Great Salt Lake.

I've seen that video 1000 times and love it.

look at the little kid's face lol. He knows exactly what's about to happen. Knows his dad is about to flip out. Probably already knew the pick from Twitter. Just waiting to see that blood pressure rise in his old man.

"Look at his pace" ... Mac "the pace setter" Jones ... His old man knew that strut meant certain death for another 10 years in jeteland. Great pace right off the bat from Mac.

I spent a great deal of time a few weeks back with a bunch of New York City-based and Washington DC-based guys. It was a legal team. Anyway, in down time they were talking football and they to a man were hoping against hope that NE didn't draft a top tier QB-for-a-decade and rebuild in just a year, when their teams (Giants/Jets/WFT) are in a state of chaos with no end in sight.

Look, I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings, but we're still tied with the annoying Squealers, and Bill needs to break Foola's record in a couple years. We can't help it if other teams are losers. They should thank their lucky stars for Dreith, Tatum, Eason, Kiam and whoever that we don't have more Lombardis already.

What's up with this obsession with "ad-libbing". Oh he doesn't "ad-lib" so he can't be that good. Because that's working out SO well for Mahomes this year...

Being able to make a play out-of-structure when things break down is great, but that line of thinking has gone so far that these days it seems like being able to make out-of-structure plays is more important than being able to just play IN-STRUCTURE. I don't know how people have been NFL fans and have watched Tom Brady annihilate the league for 2 decades and somehow have come to the conclusion that "ad-libbing" is the most important thing.
