New Julio thread....

Prediction: A 3rd rounder will be involved in the deal & it will end up being the 28th pick. Just a hunch..

Our 2021 offense will be a heavy running offense and heavy two tight end sets.

trading for Julio would significantly reduce reps for all the other receivers on the roster.

not sure why bb would do this?

When healthy he's a top 3-5 WR.

He would arguably be the best player on our entire team and walking into the HOF.

Any serious football mind would want Jones on the team. I understand why you'd be confused.

Sounds like the Patriots are trading Harry for Jones and some high draft picks.

Folks are worried that Bourne and Meyers won't get enough reps. :)

I strongly agree that Jones is one of top WR's in the league, and likely a first time HOFer. Would be our best player? Maybe. As you say, the argument could be made that this is the case. Someone guessed that our 2022 draft picks would be at 28; that's seems about right.

One question is compensation. How much is it worth to upgrade from Harry to Jones.

More like Harry Michel and a Third or second.
Michel to Atlanta would be interesting considering he played at Georgia. I’d rather have Michel not be included though. Contrary to what some fans believe he can play well in this league. I’d like to see him kill it as a platoon player in his contract year and get paid by some other team.

It’s like people never realized that with Gronkowski and/or Edelman, guys like Hogan, Dorsett, etc were able to feast on mismatches.

The Patriots had the best wide receiver ever (or maybe second best) and best tight end ever, concurrently, from 2007-18.

This idea that a superstar skill player isn’t worth much is asanine. It’s a bunch of wannabe Belichicks knee-jerk reacting to whatever the current roster looks like, then explaining how that’s the exact way Bill wants it and intended it.

It's amazing how all these nobodies have all this info and people like Schefter and Reiss don't......
Yeah….this will happen!…..Falcons must be setting up new offense where none of the receivers seperate from the defender and drop like a sack of potatoes IMMEDIATELY….if they somehow catch a ball!!!

I’m guessing we get more concrete info before the weekend is over as to what’s most likely gonna go down with Jones from an actual legit source.

I think I'm in the minority but I don't really want Julio unless it's for as little as a 3rd or 4th round pick. Maybe I'm gun shy after Sanu but I'm concerned we are picking up a guy who is on the downslide.

Unfortunately that has become the norm far too often of late on this forum, and it is driving many good/reasonable fans away. Hopefully history will not repeat itself in this thread.
AFAIC, whimsy-free zones (and whimsy-less people) suck. Good riddance to any and all toxicity.

Does this surprise you one bit? It happens to be the exact same trend currently happening in the United States with just about anythiing and everything.

I'm going to have to wait for the next Q drop and then the Q interpreters before knowing whether to attack you for that statement.

I fell for this clowns crap before... never again

This. When/If it doesn’t happen he’ll pull an excuse out of his arse as to why the (totally done) deal fell apart…something like “Jones refused to restructure his contract for the Patriots”.

Here’s an article from the time Greg Hill got duped by the fake account that was posted earlier:
