Sort of OT: 2021 HOF inductions

I think Seymour will have to wait :( Hopefully I'm wrong.

If Brady wins on Sunday - induct him right away. He's got all the other records why not have the very first active hall of famer? Lol

It's criminal that more Patriots aren't in the HOF.
Who else would you have in there? I don't think there's a strong case for any eligible Patriots. And among active players or retired players not yet eligible, only Brady and Gronk should (and will) get in. And Vinatieri if you want to include kickers in the conversation (which I don't).

From the first dynasty I'd have Law, Seymour, push for Rodney (all time DB sacks leader), partial but Cory Dillon, Vinatieri. Second dynasty a case for Gronk, McCourty, Hightower, Chung, partial but Chandler Jones, partial but Revis, partial but maybe Gilmore if he holds up.

Edgerrin James deserves to be voted in twice.

Gino ...

Law is in. If you take Brady and Gronk who are sure fire HOF’s. All you really have left is Seymour and Rodney.

Bruschi and McGinnist may not be in the PFHOf, but they every bit describe the ultimate teammate/winner/competitor.

Let's start with Seymour. And I think Rodney definitely belongs in 30+ sacks 30+Ints and 2 rings is a HOF career. After that Adam and some guys yet to be retired. Also I think we deserve one who is borderline so I vote Willie for playoff stats.

Manning, Woodson and Megatron are easy choices. Allen is probably a lock too then you have a logjam with Lynch, Faneca, Holt etc. Yeesh this is a loaded class!

Rodney has the numbers but he was also linked to PEDs. I think he might have to wait a while - if he gets in at all.

There's already a kicker in, so no reason why AV shouldn't get in either.

I've been driving the Harrison train. His stats are actually pretty incredible overall if you look them. On par with anyone. He's been a key defensive piece on two teams and multiple SB teams. Not many players can say that.

Big Sey doesn't need explanation. Top player at his position throughout the league. Arguably the best player or top 3 on multiple SB teams. Ahead of his time in a lot of ways.

Slater should get in as well.

Chandler Jones will go down as one of Bill's best picks no one ever talks about. A few more years like the last couple and he'll have a case.

Hightower is arguably the most important member of the new dynasty after Brady, Edleman and Gronk but he'll have a tough time unless he plays for another few years. Hes a game changer though. Not many LBs in the league can do what he does. Very unique player.

PEDs is a stupid reason. And he has been waiting a decade.

Revis is a lock. He was the best CB in the game for 6 years.

Vinatieri and Gronk are locks too.

After that, I'm not sure anyone else gets in. Gilmore has a chance, but so far his period as a dominant CB has been too short. Otherwise, I think Seymour and Rodney belong, but I'm not sure they make it.

Seymore, Rodney, Adam, Gronk, Brady (duh), and maybe McCourty. Revis gets in, but he's not what I think of as a career Patriot. High and Chung are not dominant. Gilmore maybe. If Jones gets in, it's because he left to a system that let's him rush more.

Law is already in.

IMO:

Lock - Brady, Gronk
Likely - Vinatieri, Revis, Seymour
50-50 - Harrison
Doubtful - Dillon, Jones, Gilmore (if he retired now)
No chance - Chung, Hightower, McCourty

Law is deservingly in the HOF already.

Seymour is worthy of consideration but he's no lock by any means.

Harrison minus the 2 rings wouldn't get consideration but that said obviously the rings count.

Devin McCourty and Chung no way. Hightower's not getting in either.

Chandler Jones will be an interesting case... he has a ring and the sack totals are nice. He probably needs a few more decent seasons. If he breaks into the top 20 all-time in sacks then he's in.

The ring probably gets Revis in but he's hardly thought of as a Patriot first. He and Browner were a fun duo for that one season though.

Gilmore is still making his case but he's not there yet.

Corey Dillon was a beast in 2004, and the final piece that made the '04 team the best team of the dynasty, but he's not a HOFer.
