Did they mean 30 1/2? Lol

My only regret is that Stidham didn't have enough snaps to hit my 3 Interceptions in 1 qtr

Stidham is an INTERCEPTION machine, as I said many months ago.

.

Any team that can and will run the ball is going to beat this team. The run D is that bad. That’s why they beat the Dolphins and Raiders and competed with the Seahawks and Chiefs. Those teams either couldn’t or chose not to run the ball against them.

Im glad they’re sticking with Newton. Buffalo is not the game to throw Stidham out there. You have to give it your best shot to beat Buffalo. Belichick owes that to the veterans on the team. If they lose to Buffalo, the season is a lost cause, and then you start Stidham and see what he can do.

Soo now he isn't arguably the greatest coach in NFL history or top 5 all time? I mean.. do we all realize great players have great coaches..great coaches have great players and great teams have both?
It’s kinda like the Michael Jordan/Phil Jackson thing. MJ was phenomenal individually before Jackson took over the Bulls, but when he learned to play more of a team game during Jackson’s tenure, the championships started rolling in. When MJ played baseball the Bulls were still very good, but the aura of invincibility wasn’t there. Jackson also won 5 more titles with Kobe, Shaq and the Lakers. Good apart, better together. Problem is Belichick left himself completely without any talent on this year’s team.

Sorry, but this idea that Belichick did no planning is just ridiculous. Your claims that he was "just making it up as he goes" is more like what your post is showing than actual reality.

- Belichick clearly focused on having an O-line that could run the ball and made sure we had the RBs to do so. Hence his drafting 2 last year and 2 this year AND franchising Thuney. His having Michel, Harris, Burkhead, and Taylor is clear forethought on his part.
- Belichick brought in young TEs who would GROW with this team in Keene and Asiasi. Far too many are already giving up on them despite them being rookies and the entire Covid mess. Izzo is actually playing decently.
- Belichick started rebuilding receivers last year. Harry, Meyers and Olszewski are works in progress. Again, YOUNG players that far too many are giving up on already because they look at the "greener' grass of other teams while ignoring that this team's offense is significantly more complex than other teams offenses because of what it requires receivers to do both pre and post snap.

The Patriots clearly liked what they had seen in Stidham. They figured he needed some more seasoning which is why they brought in Cam. The Pats clearly THOUGHT they could Maximize Cam's strengths and minimize his weaknesses while Stidham got better. And they seemed to do that the 1st three weeks. Cam has since imploded. Today, he showed me that ONE player screwing up time and again could actually lose a game for a team. Cam was SOLELY responsible for every series ending prematurely in the 1st half. I don't remember Marc Wilson or Scott Secules ever being that bad.
I am not surprised that you would disagree, because you almost always do. No need to respond either, I am pretty sure you will call me an idiot or something like that.

He had no real plan at QB this year. He just waited until someone fell out of the QB tree. The whole thing about Stidham being ready to take on the starting role was a false flag that was planted to improve negotiating leverage with any veteran QB they ultimately tried to sign. To say that Meyers and Olszewski are works in progress is simply aspirational and wishful thinking. They are JAG's with below average talent level for an NFL team. Starting the year without a proven TE on the roster is ridiculous. Keene and AsiAsi under the best of circumstances would take a couple of years to develop. To start this season without a # 1 or # 2 WR and no proven TE and a new QB with NO experience in this system and a history of problems with interceptions clearly demonstrates that Bill did not really plan this through optimally.

By the way, I still think he is one of the three greatest coaches of all time. No one is perfect and the fact that he mishandled this transition is simply a small stain on an otherwise all time great career,

He's a good coach but Brady allowed him to create a system that worked. Without Brady, he probably doesn't win the first superbowl. Belichick just doesn't currently have the answer to this puzzle. He might never figure out for this season.
I mean seriously. Brady doesnt get a chance to win if BB doesnt field a defense which keeps the rams to 17. Its easy to bag on the coach when the other part of the team isnt there. but at least make a valid point. Brady deserves all the credit in the SB36 but dont tell me it was just Brady. Not to mention BB kept brady with 3 other QBs and dint start Bledsoe even after the AFCCG. Suddenly people calling BB dumb or average is ridiculous . Its 1 yr . not even a normal yr.

I would just say that they are great together...they both needed each other and made each other great...The first super bowl we won against the Rams because of the great defense and time management to keep the greatest show on turf off the field. They are both the GOAT's , but I'd be shocked if either won a Super Bowl without the other.

who is your next coach ?
Steve. I’m obviously having a piss at you. But I think it is time some Patriots fans do need to reflect that we had a Jordan esque player

This fanbase doesn't deserve this team TBH. They bag on everyone just a little adversity hits.

I agree he's a good coach.

I just don't think he has the answer to the puzzle this season barring a turnaround after this game. If we lose next week and Cam looks bad, we don't even have a QB. Hopefully BB can find someone to fill the hole for a short time.

This is though..Brady was a 6 round pick who BB help developed into a great QB...their first SB wasn't prime Brady....

Yes its true. BB misjudged the whole Brady situation and I can forgive him for that. What is less forgiveable is the complete lack of planning for transitioning to life without Brady. It seems that BB was just making it up as he went along this year and unfortunately, it shows.
I think bringing in Cam was a mistake. They built up Stidham all offseason after Brady left, all the way until training camp was ready to open. Once training camp opens, Stidham is getting 2nd or 3rd team snaps, doesn’t even dress for the 1st few games. That had to mess with Stidham’s head. and NOW, if you bench Cam, the team may be in worse shape mentally than it already is.

I’ve been saying for several years, that the horrific drafts of the last 7 years are what ended this dynasty, unfortunately I was right. And Belichick has to take blame for that. He built an INCREDIBLE dynasty, the greatest in NFL history, and deserves credit for that. But he also deserves blame for NOT drafting explosive players for the offense, something I’ve been imploring him for YEARS. Unfortunately I was right and it’s proven to be the team’s undoing.

Reflection will do what ? Win us games ? We can do that any time watching millions of games from the past. how is that helping the current team ? Or we just reflect and give up and gang up to chuck the coach since he cant win without a good QB which it seems every coach in the nfl does - win with bad QB play.

Ridiculous to call out bill but i think we all knew what type of season this would be. I wish they would have rolled with stidham right from beginning but they acquired cam and the rest is history.

Soooo true. Man do you know how much I hate hearing jet fans or bb fans talk about this fan base and how much they will jump ship as soon as crap looks bad.

You'd look awful too if you'd spent 18 of 23 game minutes on the field in the first half because you're QB put up a S**T show that makes Jetes QBs look good.
The defense also hideously bad. Don’t embarrass yourself by making excuses for them.
