Bruins 2019 - 2020

Nice solid game. Another beautiful dangle/setup by Marchy setting up Pasta for a gimme and a sweet shorty by Bergie. That line is arguably the all around best in the game right now.

Sweet shorthanded goal charlie Coyle.

are the bruins going to trade for a piece before the deadline?

Obviously they are shopping and have the wherewithal from both a cap and pick/player resource standpoint to pull the trigger on something significant. The fly in the ointment is they aren't the only ones shopping and what some teams have been willing to give up in the deals that have been made so far makes for some tough bartering. I thought the B's had the inside track on Toffoli but Vancouver went batsh!t in what they gave up for him. OFC that was driven by Boeser's injury but still...damn. I don't mind losing Coleman, who is no more than slightly above average, to Tampa if it means Kreider lands here but the Avs are supposedly panting after him hard.

The B's are really close to being in an 'all in' type of scenario here. As constituted there's maybe one more season after this one before this roster sees significant change. Tough call for the B's brass. From a championship perspective the time is now but from a long term competitive standpoint your chief rivals may be in the process of somewhat denuding themselves thinking the same way. Tampa and Washington have expended some serious assets between this year and last.

What was extra impressive about the goal was that the puck had just hopped to its side after being flat as he was making his move with it, yet he still managed to take & make a top shelf corner shot over the goalie's glove arm.
I hope that Sweeney can provide him with at least one linemate > Heinen & Bjork, but I also don't want to see a(nother) repeat of trading top-100 picks for 30+ year-old vets on expiring contracts (Stempniak, Nash, Johansson) either.

The nash trade was awful. He always got hurt and when healthy disappeared in the playoffs. I liked the Johanson trade. He contributed a lot and had great chemistry with coyle. They need to make a move. But they need to trade for the right guy without giving up to much. that's the trick. it's not easy being a gm.

Pasta for the win :D. They have been playing so well since the break. A lot of fun to watch.

How about that Edmonton team? I was impressed, particularly with their team speed. Impressive smart game for the B's, getting both points out of it was the cherry on top.

what the hell is this crap? 3 goals against in less than four minutes.

this game is nuts lol. nice come back win for the bruins. charlie coyle another break away goal. keep it going boys.

Lets see if they can sweep this road trip. Down 2-1 but I get this vibe that they can come back no matter the score.

i jinxed em.

Perhaps a touch but the schedule definitely beat you to it. ;)
That was just a tough spot, on the road in the 2nd night of a back to back set against a rested very good team. Kinda had this one penciled in as a loss when the trip started. The good news is everyone of import chasing the B's lost yesterday too.

3 of 4 is a good road trip. This team just needs to keep it going, looking real good for a cup run.

Even after the trade for Ondrej Kase, the Bruins still need another top-9-calibre RW for Coyle, plus a 4/5-calibre Defenceman with beef.

Heinen to Anaheim for Nick Ritchie looks like one of those 'change of environment' for both players type trades. B's got a substantially bigger LW who puts up equivalent numbers, except a better +/-, and Anaheim gets faster LW with potential.

Poor Heinen couldn't buy a goal sometimes, though he has never been a top-6-calibre shooter anyway; the question remaining unanswered is whether he can ever become even a top-9-calibre shooter; good passer, good vision, but not elite speed & obviously not elite shooting...
Ritchie should provide more scoring here, especially in half-ice (vs transition) situations...Big guy, but not a big penalty guy, I just hope he's not a Baby Huey.

Didn’t think there was chance they were going to land Kreider in a trade but was hoping for a all in approach. He just signed a 7 year deal with Ny which puts that to rest. Don’t even know if he was available like some believed.
