Bill loves players with NFL legacy. Probably not necessary to lobbyYou know Randy is going to be lobbying Bill to draft his son lol...
In a top-notch SEC and 2 killer playoff opponents, too.Burrow may have a legitimate claim to having the best season of any player in college football history here. It's so impossible to directly compare an NFL season to a college season but those numbers are absurd.
15 games, 5671 passing yards, 60 TDs, 6 INTs, 76% completions, 368 rushing yards, 5 rushing TDs. Freaking insane.
For all the praise Lawrence has gotten (and it mainly being appropriate, he certainly is talented), he seemed to be maybe not the weakest link.... But certainly a huge reason they lost. His accuracy was abysmal.
So many times he had a guy who got enough separation, for decent chunks, and he ended up sailing the ball over their head. Granted - the pocket wasn't always clean, and there was decent pressure. But he lacked that next-level poise that the greats have, where you stand in the face of a noisey pocket, have a firm plant in your stance, and deliver a laser.
He's shown he can be that good, though. Just unfortunate he couldn't get it together that game. He was rattled or something. I think some more offense would've been a great defense to LSU, they were neck and neck up until the 4th.
Burrows was a beast.
Cincy is licking their chops!!!
It will be nice to see Pittsburgh and Baltimore having to deal with him twice a season.Best college offense ever. Clemson didn't play terrible. Nobody was beating LSU this year. Both teams have plenty of pros LSU are just peaking in a new offense and again Burrow, EH, JJ, Chase, Moss, Cushenberry etc Pros everywhere.
Lawrence was too fired up. You see this in his game but he plays with a controlled aggression. Tonight he was high a lot which usually means you're never set.
Burrow showed off every attribute you'd ever want to see this year. Time and time again. Incredibly accurate, unbelievable awareness in the pocket, toughness. Took over a new offense like it was nothing. I mean how many perfect passes has he thrown this year?
Congrats to Cinci they finally have a QB. Protect the hell outta him and he'll turn that team around.
Living in SC, I have watched many a Clemson game. For the most part, he is a single read guy and is throwing to a wide open man. Last night, he was asked to make tight throws and he did a poor job of it. There are many reports that he is also REALY dumb.

This is absolute bull.
I challenge you to name one.
You don't becoming the starting QB as a freshman if you're dumb. Also you don't run up tempo, no huddle offense if you're dumb. And certainly not a spread offense.
There's also Dabo- do you really think he would tolerate a dumb QB?
To me, it looked like he was too focused on the game within the game (him vs Burrow) and was pressing a lot more than he usually does. You didn’t see any of the hallmark stuff that Clemson does on offense (back shoulder throws on comebacks, for example). It looked like he was trying too hard to make the big play and lost focus on taking the easy completion. He just didn't have a good game, that's all. He definitely got rattled, and was borderline choking. It pretty much was the first time he was completely outperformed and thoroughly schooled by a superior QB.
Curious where you see the dumb thing.I kind of see the "really dumb" take, but I had chalked it up to a boring personality. But these are definitely interesting points, I didn't know that he was that kind of QB.
I haven't heard anything implying he's dumb. Not doubting. I don't know anyone at Clemson but talked to someone who played hs with him and he didn't mention that. Didn't really tell me anything good tbh but figured he would have mentioned that. Did rave abt his on the field smarts though. These are from the many kids we know that go to Clemson. His term paper on his hair is legendary and a great example of the modern student-athlete.
