I think the ovich suffix is Russian for "Son of". So maybe if Mike's son ever makes it to the NFL he can play as Tyler Vrabelovich.

OT: That is partially correct. Russian names are in the form of a First Name, Patronymic and then Surname. "vich/ich" is used in the Patronymic for boys and "vna" for girls.

The Patronymic takes the form of the Father's name + the vich/vna depending on the gender of the offspring.

So Michael Joseph Smith has two kids, Christopher and Alice. Their full names would be:

Christopher Michaelvich Smith and Alice Michaelvna Smitha. Basically Christopher "Son of Michael" Smith and Alice "Daughter of Michael" Smitha.
