Red Sox 2018...WORLD SERIES...CHAMPIONS!!!

I said Sox in 5 but now I think it doesn’t even go back to Fenway. That was a season ending beat down. The Yankees under Boone don’t look like a team that is capable of responding to a complete humiliation like that in front of their fans.

Could be wrong but I say Sox win tonight, not 16-1 big but still big.
YED.

Not to worry. Under Boone, they'll just go into the offseason and buy up every quality starting pitcher they can get their hands on. They'll probably start with Jeter's Marlins - their farm team.

Too bad they couldn't some of those runs for tonight.. Having seen too, too many of these things, remember 2004 when the Yanks put a beat down of same proportions in game 3 in the series (19-8) and we know how that turned out.. Until it's over, it's not over....

Yeah, baseball momentum is fickle. If Sabathia comes out and goes 1-2-3, then Judge hits a 2-run homer in the bottom of the first, suddenly any mental edge the Red Sox built up last night is gone. These things tend not to carry over.

Good point but the Yankees don’t have the starting pitching that can be momentum stoppers like a Schilling/Pedro/Lowe. Tito is also a much better manager than Boone. The 2004 champs could also hit for average, had plenty of speed AND they had power. The Yankees are only good at the latter. It's tough to recover from a beatdown like that unless you have the right team to do it and I don't see it in the Yankees. They ain't exactly Bill, Tom and the Pats.

And if what I'm reading is true about Severino and Sanchez not even knowing when yesterday's game started that's just lol. This series ends tonight IMO unless the Red Sox don't play with any urgency and I can't imagine why they wouldn't.

Crazy thing is the quick turnaround.. next game is tonight. That probably favors the home team since the fans will be crazy. Tough call but sabathia is not the same guy from years past... Boone is still Boone... We shall see..

NM, it's clear I'm late to the party.

The problem with these 15-1 type wins is the the losing team usually wins the next one.
