Another unsung hero: Dorsett

We pretty much needed every positive play, but there were more highlight reel/impact type plays during critical time in this game than our typical Patriot game.

And trust me, I appreciated each one as it happened and will probably rewatch and appreciate even more of the less obvious ones.

I really need to rewatch this game. Would kill to get the All22.
There were the obvious heroes: Brady,Dola,Cooks,T.Flowers,Gilmore:
but you don't win a game like this without a lot of less- obvious heroics.

Shoutout to Mr. Phillip Dorsett! He takes a lot of flak around here (as do many others ), but came up HUGE today when his number was called. I’ve been pretty pragmatic about his role/ lack of playing time all season, but I knew he would hold his own when the time came. It was only 1 reception for 31 yards, but it was during a crucial moment in our season. It’s a game of inches, and all 1,116 inches were required. Hats off to one of the guys who’ll likely get no acknowledgement, but do indeed deserve it.

I would like to see him get a few more looks but he certainly came up large on that one. But even so it wasnt a hands catch which is what I notice from him alot.

Can't-Miss Play: Phillip Dorsett's biggest catch as Patriot comes on flea-flicker

Yes, Brady dropped a DIME on him... but it was still a helluva catch in crunch time... especially for a guy who's NEW to crunch time... and caught just 12 balls this year.

He did his job.

I agree. When it really mattered he came through. That is what separates elite players from normal players. It’s literally like yeah you can do stuff. Can you do it with 900 million people watching you and 14 million media goons praying for you to fail?

Then you will have learned

I think he will be more useful next year ...
Hard for anyone to come in and break the depth of

Amendola - Cooks - Hogan and Gronk - every game a different order no less.

And yet, he doesn't complain- you never hear a peep out of him. He goes out there and runs his routes as if he's the first read, is an above average blocker, and does all the small things that help open the field for others.

I really hope we get him back this fall.

Best of luck to Jacoby Brissett who led his team to a 3-13 season and probably isn't seeing the starter's job again anytime soon.

That one play ensured that we got the better of the bargain. And I say that as a guy who really likes what Jacoby Brissett could become.

I'm hoping that this fall, with a full TC under his belt, we'll see exactly what dividends we'll ultimately get out of that trade.

Will he be able to make the roster next year though with Edelman/Mitchell back?

Cooks
Edelman
Hogan
Amendola *Free Agent*
Mitchell
Slater *Free Agent*
Britt

Only see him back if they don't re-sign Amendola.
