Our champion coach donned his Sunday best for the nationally broadcast post-game press conference. Just another day at the office (yawn) ... or cleaning the storm gutters ... :D ... Whatever, we're on to Minnesota!

It's a take on how masculine he is with his cut off sleeves.

This all goes back to when BB first became the head coach of New England. He waned to wear a suit and tie on the sidelines, like the old school coaches often did. The league said no. Coaching staff were required to wear only authorized team apparel. So in a classic FU to the league, coach got a hoodie and cut the sleeves off.

After one game, at the post-game presser, some reportard or mediot asked him why he cut the sleeves off of his hoodie. Without missing a beat, coach Belichick replied in his typical sardonic style "Because I have short arms."

Classic and wonderful response.

Good explanation about what motivates BB, the whole need to wear Nike apparel on the sideline is absurd, and another effort to bow to the corporate structure that supports 345 Madison Ave. ... after all it is a business first.

Roger had to call up is dominatrix, Mistress Tommy, for a double session today..

Bill, a child of the 60's, still has a little rebellion in him...gotta love it.

Yeah, what is up with this all of a sudden? Why won't he wear a Pats logo? Maybe that is what his big (fake) meeting with Roger Goodell was about several weeks ago?

That’s one of many things that make bill the enigma that he is.

I don’t know if it is a conscious decision on his part but the past 2 weeks do indeed deviate from what he normally does. Typically when he wears sweats to a press conference, it is something team issued. However, it isn’t exactly something I have any stats on.

(Note: I am talking about when he wears sweats, not when he wears shirts or a suit, in which case it usually isn’t something team issued)

Now that I think about it, they probably told him he can't wear the suit & tie to the press conference any more and he has to wear something NFL issued. I am sure the inside out muscle hoodie has a Pats logo on it, and it is just another FU to the league by BB, LOL.

I was JUST thinking the same thing about his recent Pressers...no Patriot logos. Probably nothing but for a man of such precise habits it is a departure from the norm. Guess we will find out with certainty if there is anything there once the season ends.

I find it an interesting curiosity, but not that he is trying to send some sort of message to anyone. He wore Patriots logos last week during his midweek pressers so it isn't like he has undergone some sort of all-out boycott of the Flying Elvis.

We all give him credit for being a genius (which he is) who has a reason for everything he does but really.... the postgame sweatshirt may not necessarily be something he puts terribly much thought into.

There is no way he comes out looking like that without putting some thought into it.
