Gilmore was where the communications problems were largely centered. Anyone denying that is either lying or uneducated.
He didn't help but a CB is not the epicenter of communication in the secondary.

I'd like to go with a bad banged up bruise and with time off be ready in two weeks.
I'm leaning towards that, if I had to guess.

It looked like he took the helmet hit, right to the bicep.

Lets hope.
He's a tough little bugger.

He's not sitting on the bench. If he doesn't play against Denver than it's more than just a concussion. I like bademosi but I find it hard to believe that our secondary's better with bademosi and not Gilmore.
i dont.

Stop calling it hate, which it's not. Accept that people are, rightfully, disappointed in Gilmore's early play, and you'll get it just fine.
Nah, I’m pretty sure is has moved into the realm of hate.

So on the 98.5 post-game they mentioned that the team would be staying out in Denver after the game. A few people on the board had been speculating that they would do that. Hadn’t seen or heard anything official on that front....

Thanx Tony....I know I can always count on you to provide reality to the insanity....another fit of hysteria cured!

On the flipside Pats crossed the Chargers 35 yard line 7 times in the game.
And only got 21 points out of it.

That was good enough for today, but it won't be when playing the iron. So they need to work the kinks out before then.

The communication issues may have been largely centered on Gilmore but the defensive issues were largely centered on the front seven imo. Hightower hurt, Branch out of shape, Vincent on IR, Ealy not working out etc... 3-3 or 3-2 fronts.

I also think that they were trying to compensate for the front seven issues by adjusting the secondary. I.e having McCourty hovering around the LOS, Harmon at FS and Richards as a Star LB/Safety deal. Which added to the communication problems.

Now I'm reading that Gilmore should ride the bench when he gets back. He's , imo, our best man coverage CB who had a decent game vs TB playing both zone and man. So I definitely don't get that. (Not implying that you said that)

Having Gilmore and Rowe back will be a nice boost for the secondary. Or at least that's what I think.

FWIW, there are two members on PatriotsPlanet with verified inside sources and both have indicated that Gilmore's absence is for more than just health reasons.

The tea leaves would point in that direction anyway, but their posts solidify it for me. Hopefully he can figure it out because he's got loads of physical ability.

Its becoming less and less clear each week whether the AFC /has/ any iron.
