Jim Kelly or Tom Brady?

How do so many idiots still argue that Brady isn't tough? The guys who have beat him up the most say he's the toughest QB they've ever faced. He's played full seasons with injuries and never said a word. God, that ****'s annoying.

Like I've said, anyone who argues another QB over Brady at this point is beyond rational thinking. Arguing that they'd rather have a guy with zero rings is flat-out lunacy.

Once people have that idea in their mind, especially if it's about someone they dislike, they're going to hang onto it for dear life.

Take SB 51 as an example. Brady was sacked 5 times and hit at least 9 times. Does anyone remember him "whining" after being hit in this game? Was he rattled and knocked off his game because he was being hit? If Brady really was the soft, crybaby that people think he is, there would be some examples they could point to from this game, but they don't exist.

The reason why Brady had the perception of not being tough is his attitude about showing he is hurt and the club's policy discussing injuries.

I think we have Rodney and his "skirt" comment to thank for much of that.

Reading that thread one comment I saw over and over again really bugged me. "Brady is a whimp he could never take the pounding Kelly did" or variations there of. You ask any of his team mates or guys that have you know actually hit Tom they all rave about what a tough SOB he is. With the exception of a season ending ACL injury he has never missed a game. It is criminal how under rated his toughness is and I think he would have done just fine in the 90's. Playing in his 40's probably not but still a HOF worthy career IMO not "out injured by the first game".

For the few morons who, rightful so got called out as total homers, said Kelly was better I submit the first Super Bowl as evidence that Kelly was not smart enough, disciplined enough, watched enough film to survive in today's game. Offenses have gotten crazy complex and timing routes are everything now. Kelly didn't see the game within the game like Brady does nor is he as selfless. Give Brady that same team against the giants and I bet Thomas gets the ball 60 times and Scott Norwood is not a curse word in Buffalo.

Yet half of the forum are eager to ditch Brady as soon as possible and put in a guy who couldn't last two games.

And as crazy as it may sound, I'd take those 4 SB losses over 4 SB wins with Brady any day because of everything else it meant. The comradeship and family atmosphere of that team, the perseverance and resiliency (great life lessons for us all).

Bills fans in that forum are, on balance, surprisingly rational about the Patriots.

I think it's because they've had their souls crushed out of them and they've moved on to resignation and acceptance.

Well I didn't say I thought he was I said he arguably was. If someone wants to make a case for Kelly it would at least be worth listening to and not be a crazy claim to make. He is one of the more underrated great QBs.

It's so dumb to say you can't compare quarterbacks because of the different eras. Because Joe Montana, Jim Kelly, etc. had to play in a more physical game with less QB protection and more legal holding from defensive backs.

So, is Tom Brady the only quarterback in the NFL who benefits from those rules? Because they seem to conveniently ignore that 31 other starting quarterbacks play in the same era, yet Brady wins 77% of his games. Also, I understand that most of these guys started watching football four years ago when Marshawn Lynch broke out (on another team), but a quick refresher in history may reveal Brady won three Super Bowls before the rules changed. Oh by the way, who was it that changed the defensive back rules via the competition committee, probably costing Brady at least one title? I don't remember. I do recall there may have been a giant forehead involved.
