To be fair, the D is the biggest hindrance to the Pats winning the Super Bowl this year. They have to get better pass rushers next years and at least one impact safety. Those things can only be remedied next year as the D is what it is at this point.

This is a huge hit, but keep in mind that we've still got Bennett. His numbers have been Gronk-like when Gronk hasn't been on the field this season.

The IR return used on Brisettt yesterday is interesting. Can't put Gronk on IR , then bring him back. That ship has sailed.

I'm not sure if you're allowed to activate someone off the IR during the playoffs. Roster rules are tighter then.
