OT: Denver @ Indy

-In 2010, the Jets defense beat us after we beat them by 40 points a month earlier. Worse game I've been to at Gillette.
-I'll skip 2011
-2012- Ravens
-2013- playing @denver. I think this was a case that Denver was just a better team. When you have Slater, Collie, and Mulligan as your weapons on 3rd down, it won't end well. The fact this team made it to the AFC championship is amazing.

I'm worried about this Denver team. I think it's Peyton's best team he has had surrounding him in Denver. That 2013 team was stacked offensively but they couldn't stop anybody. I'd rather have a good defense than a dominating offense. I realize Peyton has looked terrible, but I think their defense will keep them in any home game so I'm hoping they won't get homefield.
i didnt watch 2010 jets playoff game,

but 2012 Ravens game, We lost Ridley cause concussion and he had a fumble on our 30 or 40 IIRC, and we lost Talib, and then Flacco raped Arrington&co

2013 Denver, Without Gronk, Volmer, Wilfork, Mayo, Dobson (before some commnets, he was actually really good) Amendola had groin injury, Thompkins wasnt ok and some other dudes....
Brady didnt have any good WR weapon, and Vellano played in defense, Ryan and Dennard were abused by Thomas and Decker.

Denver is good but as long we are healthy with starters, Cannon should be back, i do not worry bout them.
IMO Bills defense is better, the problem is that they have stupid coach. Last years Bills were even better against Rodgers who had his first weapon in the game Jordy Nelson. Lacy had 20pounds less and was actually good.
And if u lost CB Sam Shields and Quentin Rollins, and Clay Mathews, Peyton and their run game become pro bowl caliber

Yeah, I've learned no game is ever a sure thing in the NFL. That playoff game vs the jets game in 2010 I thought was a lock considering we beat them by over 40 a couple weeks before the game.

Rodgers hasn't beat a team with a winning record on the road since December 2012. Winning on the road in general is tough. Since 2012, Pats were 1 or 2 games above 500 on the road going into this season. This season I've been impressed with their road record so far. Hope it continues

Actually, the Patriots have the best road record since 2000 with a 81-42 record, with a .653 winning percentage. That's the highest in the League.

For all the laughing we do at the Colts they cam awfully close to beating an undefeated team in that teams stadium.

I was referring to 2012-2014 more recent years. However, your stat is more impressive. Being able to be that successful on the road doesn't happen often and is just one of the many reasons why this Patriots run is better than the Steelers, Dallas, and San Fran dynasties.

Good points about the key injuries in the Ravens game. Talib also went down in the Denver game. Kind of weird he got hurt in both AFC championship games.

“Next to the ’85 Bears and the 2000 Ravens I don’t know if I’ve seen a defense quite like this,” Pagano said of the 2015 Broncos.

Nope. I can't do it. I'm already thinking playoffs and I want the Colts in the upset. I just don't see it happening, though. Luck is playing injured and his offensive line can't pass protect consistently enough. I think Denver's defense is going to have a field day with this one.

Yep, Kontra's post precisely sums it up.
- at this point the Patriots would greatly benefit from a Denver loss. Bite the bullet and root for Indy.
- whether you believed Luck was a very good QB or just decent but overrated, he is not playing at the level he displayed in his first three years. Only way I see Indy winning is of Luck of the past few years shows up.
- Indy also sucks on multiple other fronts especially OL. This needs a stunning turn around immediately.
- If this season so far defines Denver's D, they'll be tee-ing off on Indy's O.

Next.....

Don't forget that it was NE's worst OL since 2005. That Denver wasn't able to put that game away by halftime said all you needed to know about their chances in the SB.

I remember we were so limited on weapons that Slater saw the field on offense and was even targeted by Brady.

To this day, Denver fans still talk about that great achievement. Beating our practice squad is their biggest accomplishment in what, 17 years?

While I mostly agree, I will submit that Colts can, possibly, maybe win.

They are home.

Luck is due and can't keep sucking this bad.

Colts played us better than people remember and had a legitimate shot to beat us until their coach decided to take the game away from his players.

GB was very injured with no weapons......Denver D may not quite be as good as they appear.

Manning still sucks.

Ok....that's about all I got.

There's more

According to the latest NFL odds, the Broncos are 4.5-point favorites against the Colts in Indy, a line that has moved in Denver's direction since opening as three-point favorites.

But there are a handful of factoids trending against the Broncos approaching this fourth Peyton Manning rematch:
  • Peyton Manning is 1-2 vs. the Colts despite being favored every time.
  • The Broncos were 6.5-point favorites for Manning's original homecoming in 2013; the Broncos lost by six. The Broncos were eight-point favorites against the Colts at home in the playoffs this past January; the Colts beat the Broncos by 11.
  • The Broncos are 0-5 against the Colts in Indianapolis in their last five visits, both against the spread and straight up.

Could always root for a tie and hedge all of your bets - at least in that case, neither team gets a win.

In my mind though, Denver doesn't deserve the same level of hatred as Indianapolis. With Denver, I'm hoping they get a few losses this season so they dont take home field advantage. I'll root for those losses in other games however. Go Broncos!!!

Colts are gonna make the playoffs regardless so I'm rooting for them to spoil the Broncos on Sunday.

Defensively, the Broncos are that good, but my question is how long is it going to last? Ware and Talib both wear out as the season goes, and I don't care how Peyton Manning looked last Sunday. It was the best he's looked all season, and even then he didn't look that great to me.

Im not gonna say the Colts are gonna win Sunday, but they do have a chance, and its gonna be close. And not for nothing, it seems like the Colts always have the Broncos number recently...

I have a feeling that midnight has already struck and manning is going to revert back to a pumpkin this week.

Guy throws 0tds and 1 interception on 2 weeks of rest in perfect weather and people declare hes back....no more rest this season.

Your mind needs a refresher and your desire for the Broncos to win could cost the Pats HFA.

I always want what is best for the pats, not for my emotions.

This game isn't going to be close. Assuming denver has their offensive issues fixed, I wouldn't be surprised if the Broncos put up 40+ points(offense & defense combined). Lucks tendency to hold the ball too long & his accuracy issues play right into Denvers strengths.
