Manx, Mayo, and other draft experts what do you think of Daniel McCullers?

He's a big body with terrific strength who will clog the middle, but extremely limited mobility. If you want a guy to cover a small area and do it effectively, he's a good one. Even though he's tall he's so strong that it's hard for OL's to get leverage against him.

Mackenzie is a big fan, and has a nice profile on him:

Daniel McCullers Scouting Report- 2014 NFL Draft

Personally, I'm not that interested in immobile NTs, and if I wanted one I probably prefer Zach Kerr or Justin Ellis. I think they have better quickness and agility, and more schematic versatility - McCullers is really limited to a 2-gap scheme. But at the right price, he's worth a look if that's what you want.

I would be surprised if;
We got #33 for Mallet
If Amaro was still there at #36

Would you trade 2014 and 2015 first for Donald? If you dealt Mallett to Houston for a 3rd in 2015 that can move up to a 1st if they make the playoffs and he plays 75pct of snaps. It's a second if he plays 75 pct and they miss the playoffs.

I don't know. I'd have to think about that one hard. I'm generally very adamant about not trading away high picks in subsequent years. But I'd consider it. If Mallett was likely to bring at least a 2015 2nd round pick in return, then yes, but it's not a given. And I suspect the Pats would want at least a 2015 2nd, conditional to a 1st.

As CJ Mosely's stock drops he seems to be getting mocked to the Patriots more and more. I watched a couple of games to take a closer look and frankly I hope they don't take him. I think he's SEC overrated and given Bill has more negatives coming from Saban than hits I just don't want him.

I just don't see the need for Mosely. I think he'll be a good (not great) nfl linebacker but the fit just isn't there. Doesn't bring anything that we don't already have at linebacker.

I'm not against going DE and DT 1-2. Now that we've re-upped Edelman, I don't feel TE is as big a priority. We have Edelman and Amendola as slot wr's. Hopefully, Gronk is healthy. Even if he's not, you still have TWO very good slot receivers. I'd rather just get a good blocking TE to back Gronk up. And, when we have to throw, I've got TWO good inside options. Very, very, very unlikely we come up with the next Gronk. If we're using capitol on a receiver. I'd rather just go with a bigger WR who can play outside the numbers and be a great complement to Dopson. I like Jordan Matthews to fill a role like that. Provided, we don't go DL early.

If we got Richburg and Bitonio, would you be ok cutting Connolly to free up cap-space? Let Bitonio and Cannon battle it out for the RG slot.

TE or DL have got to be the 1st pick. LB we can get later if BB feels the need to.

Playing with trade-down scenarios, those are the positions that make sense to me when I look at the board for something like this:

#29 TRADE: The Vikings passed on a QB in round 1, and trade up to get ahead of other teams that took the same gamble.

Patriots get #40, #96, 2014 4th-round pick

#40 then turns into TE Austin Sefarian-Jenkins, DT Dominique Easley, or DT Stephon Tuitt

E.g.:

#40 Austin Sefarian-Jenkins TE
#62 Joel Bitonio, OL (projects to guard, Connolly moves back to center)
#93 Jordan Tripp, LB
#96 Zack Kerr, DT

Names I really like there. I am starting to wonder about a TE early though. There seems to be an emphasis on WR which fits in with McDaniels and his spread. If Britt signs, there's starting to be the possibility that a 2nd TE gets very limited reps unless Gronk goes down long-term. I'm starting to wonder whether Fiedorowicz in the mid-rounds or a day 3 move TE like Hoskins or Annen might end up more likely. That will allow them to focus on the lines earlier. How about (an adaptation of your trade):

#40 Stephon Tuitt
#62 Kareem Martin
#93 Joel Bitonio/ Travis Swanson/Weston Richburg
#96 (f. Minn) CJ Fiedorowicz/Arthur Jones
4th Jordan Tripp (after trade up - use 5th rd gained in Minny trade)
6A Zach Kerr
6B Kenny Guiton
7 Blake Annen

While researching that quick mock above, I noticed one thing I hadn't before. I use mike Loyko's combine spreadsheet as my source for performances there and I noticed that on his second 40, Kareem Martin's 10 yard split was 1.53. That is better than Clowney (1.56). To be fair, Martin's first 10 yd was 1.60 but even so, an interesting data point.

TRADES:
29 to Jacksonville for 39, 101 & 132 (160 vs 166 points on the old value chart)
62, 126, 132 to Cincinnati for 55 (370 vs 350 points on the chart)

39. Kyle Van Noy - OLB - BYU

55. Marcus Martin - OC - USC

93. Joel Bitonio - OG - Nevada

101. C.J. Fiedorowicz - TE - Iowa

182. Ryan Carrethers - DT - Arkansas State

190. Seantrel Henderson - OT - Miami

COMP: Aaron Lynch - DE - South Florida

221. Logan Thomas - QB - Virginia Tech

Mid-FA Mock: NO TRADES
R1. Louis Nix, DT, ND
R2. ASJ, TE, Washington
R3. CJ Fiedorowicz, TE, Iowa
R4. Jordan Tripp, OLB, Montana
R6. Trey Millard, RB, Oklahoma
R6. Matt Patchan, OT, BC
R6. Connor Shaw, QB, SC
R7. Ben Malena, RB, TAMU

I like this one. Have to double dip at TE, and Nix replaces Wilfork.

Thanks man, did it sorta quickly so I have minor issues with it but thanks, means a lot
