Don't worry about it. I think I spoke for us all when I gave him the DX style suck it gesture when we won.

I think this is being misinterprested. He was telling the crowd the Browns would choke this one away.

Did you follow the game thread? Holy ****, bunch of quitters, thought it was a Jets board. This offense sucks, this defence sucks!!!!! wow.!

let's not act like we were playing great. most fans were b!tching and moaning because for 3 qtrs we played like a dog crap. can't blame them.

Never said "they" were. If you can't wait 60min. Not my fault.

He might have been saying he cut up the defense on that play, which he clearly did.

Why the hell is the slit-throat motion illegal?

God, we're such a country of sniveling, apologetic little men...

I feel like I'm in the Twilight Zone sometimes.

Some people find it offensive. Just make sure NFL players keep wearing pink for the whole month of October. It helps the NFL make money off of people who want to support cancer awareness. (BTW, who is not aware of cancer?)

Is the choke sign legal in the NFL?

I kinda wonder if Gordon regrets it now.

Same old Browns.

Good riddance. You don't celebrate early in a sport where your opponent can score 8 points while basically eating like 8-10 seconds from the clock. In football, anything can happen, that's one of the reasons why it's so much more popular in the States than any other sport.

Because the NFL is a capitalist business that wants to maximize revenue by bringing new young fans into the fold, and they feel like children should not be seeing references to people getting knives cut into throats.

The rules explicitly ban it, as a matter of fact.

Note 4: Violations of (c) will be penalized if any of the acts occur anywhere on the field. These acts include but
are not limited to: throat slash; machine-gun salute; sexually-suggestive gestures, prolonged gyrations;
or stomping on a team logo.

So what is the definition of "ANYWHERE ON THE FIELD"???
- is that just between the white side markings?
- or does the sideline-bench area count too (Ocho as I recall got some of his during his cincy days there)

And so, if the REPLAY BIG-SCREEN OPERATOR (this was at a HOME game mind you); could just CUE that up in a LOOP over and over again; the REFs HAVE TO SEE IT.....

I guess (but not entirely sure that) they would still be limited to implementing the penalty before another play runs, but I would think that a good board op should be prepped or have some kind of control of the feed so he could do this (similar to get up a replay view for the coach when trying to make a red-flag decision)

YUP! And NEVER leave or turn off a Pats Game until 0:00 is Final!

THIS !! for the 4th time this season, I switched off the TV around 3 mins mark and next thing you know ..

may be I should keep doing this :p ;)

#it's only weird if it doesnt work

J Gordan gave the Patrios a slit throat at 19-3

Gordon wast trying to rub it in for Pats fans, merely trying to express how Browns players would feel after the game.

...

Never celebrate a victory over the Patriots until the Fat Lady wins American Idol!

And, other than for laughs, never visit a Game Day Thread on this board because inevitable and impending doom is chronicled over and over again by numerous "fans" who "told you so."

Then why schedule really attractive games on school nights at 8:30??

Refs can't use in stadium screen for anything related to game. Anywhere on the field is the entire playing field and all sidelines and end lines.

Josh had every right to.

Josh gordom made talib his ***** and didn't even leave money for a cab.

Josh Gordon was kept relatively quiet up until his 80 yard grab.

On that play, I have no idea why they had a hobbled Talib one on one with NO safety help over him.

Had that one completion not happened, you'd be trashing Josh Gordon for being shut down.

I hate the play call more than I blame Talib. He made him his '*****' for one play. Yay for Josh Gordon. He's the hottest WR in the NFL right now and single covering him with ANYONE is stupid.

I don't see the 'massive' drop off people are flailing on about. He's not the elite corner he looked like before the hip problem, but he's still one of the most on form in the league. He's just no as head and shoulders above the rest as he was prior to the injury.

When I was a kid, games started at 9:15, and I stayed up watching the Patriots-Dolphins Monday night game past midnight, only to hear Howie Cosell announce that John Lennon was murdered that night.
