Well, it's early but a lot has changed recently. The team will have to be less reliant on the offense for wins this year. Just curious to see what people think the Pats record is going to be for 2013.

About two months ago I thought the Pats were good for 12-13 wins. Now I think they will go 10-6 or 11-5. Still think they will be AFCE champs.

A long way to go before the season starts, but if I were a betting man I would go with 9-7...They have literally lost over 80% of their receiving production from last year (as of wk 1) and replaced those players (Welker, Gronkowski, Hernandez, Lloyd + Woodhead) with journeymen (D.Brown, M.Jenkins) unproven injury risks (Amendola) and a couple of rookies.

Beyond that Brady is a year older and the defense while improved is still avg at best.

I think this is going to be a below avg season for the Patriots unless there is a major offensive move made and that move seems quite unlikely given Belichick's history.

This team will not compete for a championship. As a matter of fact I can be fairly confident in saying that Tom Brady won his last Superbowl with the Patriots in the 04/05 season.

While I respect your opinion, I could not disagree more with it. This team will be better than 10-6, and will compete for a championship. I can't wait for this season to start.

Assuming the injury bug doesn't totally ravage the team:

9-7 at worst, 11-5 at best. This team will have it's fair share of growing pains on both sides of the ball and I think the Pats will look kinda unimpressive for the first stretch of the season. However, I predict that the team will finish relatively strong, and won't be surprised to see them make a fairly deep playoff run. I don't think we win the SB with this roster, but I don't think we miss the playoffs either.

They'll make the playoffs, and after that it's anyone's guess.

I think we see a 12-14 games won. I think the team takes off in TC. Remember, last year we were 4 points from 15-1, and we should have won those 3 games. We are a very good team, a step up in d this year and we are great.

I'll go with a range of 10-6 to 12-4, winning the AFC East regardless of record. 12 wins would take the defense improving greatly this year, which we all know is a possibility with the additions/re-additions of Adrian Wilson, Tommy Kelly, and Aqib Talib along with the development of young players Chandler Jones, Dont'a Hightower, Alfonzo Dennard and hopefully even Brandon Spikes in pass defense to keep him on the field all three downs. I believe the offense will be fine. Despite the losses of Welker, Lloyd, and Hernandez, I feel good about the addition of Amendola, and loved the direction the running game took last year with lead back Ridley. Vereen also took great strides in his development and will be a factor in the passing game, as we saw him break off some explosive runs after the catch later in the year. As always, I'm just pumped to watch some football. Go Pats!

My way-too-early guess is AFCE division winners with an 11-5 record.

Miami comes in 2nd place and the Jets finish last.

10-6, winners of AFCE.

11 wins..if the D clicks this year and gronk comes back to 100% pre injury...more

Team avgs over 30 ppg with the GOAT at QB make young talented players around him better. Vareen has breakout year.

Pass D is much improved better secondary + improved pass rush.

17-2 with a SB win.

As a matter of fact I can be fairly confident in saying that Tom Brady won his last Superbowl with the Patriots in the 04/05 season.

Even if you are correct in your assessment for the 2013 season, is it not a bit premature to write off 2014, 2015, 2016 and beyond?

That is me being optimistic. I know we'll lose more games than that, but I can't predict which ones and we won't make the Superbowl.

I have my usual prediction: 10-6 or 11-5 and division champs.

10-6 or 9-7... one and done in playoffs

Probably 12-4. The saints and broncos might blow us out along with a loss to one of our divisional rivals. The bills have been on our heels for a long time now and the first game of the season is probably their best shot. Then probably one unexpected loss along the way.

Here is what my chief said when I asked and he's a Steeler fan lol, I recorded him on my phone.. lol

"Sharing it 50/50 with Montana you guys have the best QB in football ever known to man, and a coach who sits at the same table that Lombardi, Shula and the rest of his peeps sit to, and he still reigns supreme today. Now, with that being said whats it's face, that young OC McDaniels, yeah that guy is smart he'll know how to heat up those new young toys.. no problem, which is why I hate you guys. And the D with signing that maniac Adrian Wilson and drafting that young kid Collins will have a new face this season, so I'll be generously giving you clowns at least 12 wins, and 14 if Danny Amendola stays healthy, that kid has become a freakin nightmare when he's on the field.. I don't think you guys understand "

Thanks Chief!:rocker:

Michael Jordan
John Elway
both won a championship at the age of 38

Tim Duncan is 37 and was just in the Finals
Jerry Rice and Rod Woodson were in the AFC title game at that age

Peyton Manning is a year older than Tom and he is still elite and considered a top 3 QB and even Joe Montana says he considers Tom a young man..

He is just one of those athletes like mentioned above that just don't seem to age, and he actually gets better with time. Heck, he has gotten farther then both Peyton Manning and Aaron Rodgers the last few years with NO defense on his side. So that get older crap, doesn't matter, age is only a number when you are as great as Tom.

I seriously think we have a great season and win more games then expected. The schedule seems tough, but remember when odds weren't in our favor we won the Super Bowl. I wouldn't write this team off as being below 12 games won, I think this is truly the year since the D will be familiar with their abilities.

This is starting to feel like one of these seasons where the Patriots are disrespected, marginalized, poo-pooed, and written off.

Which means 17-1 and Super Bowl champs.
