OT: Gisele Bundchen's $20 million dream home is coming along nicely

It's gross. Completely disgusting, IMO. 1/2 of that house would be twice as much as one needs. I don''t think it signifies or relates to anything - it's just a stupidly big house.

I solicited Muffy's expertise about this important issue; she said it's important to have various rooms and closets for shoes. And a furs storage wing is an absolute necessity. Supermodels need rooms to store all those dresses and outfits no matter how skimpy. A library displaying prominently just the right tomes is de rigueur. Who could live and entertain socially without a home theater wing? Finally, the home needs a large footprint to make room for a sufficient wine cellar for the collection. She added that's why a small foundation simply will NOT do!

Oh, I would say this is right up there with the heads of the 3 Detroit car companies flying to DC in 3 separate private jets to ask for government money.

Except that 80% of NFL players will never see the insides of a private jet, and half the NFL lives paycheck to paycheck as has been mentioned.

Maybe the land is on the inside, we just can't see it.

That's the point. Put in solar panels (ignore the green 'cost' to fabricate) etc. but to air condition and electrically power that many sq ft is lots more than any several 'non-green' families' homes. And then it's not their only home by far.

I don't begrudge them the home, although I read somewhere Tom grousing that he bought high and was taking a bath on the place. Were it I, yes I'd live smaller but then I would fly the carbon spewing private jets which are much worse (green wise) than the home. I just don't want to be lectured by those who, as they are thankfully free to do, live large.

Disclosure: OK, I own several homes but I drive a Fusion hybrid FWIW

Amen, brother! I don't give a crap about his mansion until the point when he starts telling me to conserve for the environment, if he's not willing to lead by example then I have a big "GFY" for him.

Well they both earned it but I think it's obscene. All of that for 3 people, green my ass.

Cmon now, they plan on having another kid, less than 22,000 sf would way too tight for 4 people

I could care less how Tom spends his money or who he sleeps with. I am concerned by his recent pigtails, his recent fru fru dancing and his recent inability to perform in playoff games. Are the 3 connected??
Let's consider - the NY Jets publicly trashtalked and insulted Tom Brady PERSONALLY before their playoff game last year and Tom Brady had ZERO response to that. Tom Brady played poorly on his home field, Tom Brady pouted on the sideline, Tom Brady showed zero emotional leadership on that day.
I ask you Patriot fans, does that happen with the Tom Brady football player we saw in 2003?? 2004??
Brady losing that game isn't the issue. Brady's inability to man up is.
Is there a connection?? Hmmmm..........

Fru Fru dancing impacting his game? I doubt it. If anything I think he's been too serious. He's the reason this team wins the last two years, if he doesn't play well its game over (See Jets Week 2/Playoffs and Cleveland). I personally think he knows that just as much as we do, probably even more. I can't imagine how stressful it would be go out in a playoff game and know if you don't play flawlessly that the year was for naught. It's a hard situation to perform in, the reason he seemed different when we had a defense is probably because he knew he wasn't the focal point of the team. The psychological difference that makes is probably amazing.

Sorry for the :hijacked: but hey its the off-season and this just really cracked me up.

Every time I saw one of those commercials, my brain could barely grasp that I was seeing what I was actually seeing.

That commercial would be cool if those two potato heads were licking toads and the table was a giant mushroom...I would watch that.

Gisele = Yoko Ono

This is a fascinating image in the context of the "Brady vs. NFL" lawsuit. Poor Tom, the NFL has really been awful to him.

Then stop rooting for him.

Wow, I never knew there were so many Brady haters here.

The Thought Police, always on the job!

lmao-What people are saying is written right here, I don't need to get inside anyone's heads when they are making their opinions clear to all. You guys resent Brady and his wife, that's obvious, and it's your issue, not mine, i think he's a great player and a good person, you can malign him all you want I'll be happy to defend him.

BTW-The "policing" going on here is those who are upset at Brady's housing choices, apparently you believe you have the right to pass judgement on it, although i have no idea why.

Reading comprehension is a useful skill. Try to develop a modicum. You're replying to my post. At least TWICE I said I had no problem with how he spends his money on his house.

(Most) people are just saying it's an overly-big stupid house. What's wrong with that? If it was a shoebox apartment there would be derision as well. No one is maligning him.

PS - I don't resent every part of his wife.
