Byrd jumps over Woodhead

I saw a video last night on Monday Night Countdown of Jarius Byrd of the Bills jumping over Danny Woodhead during a blitz. Now Danny was bent over to block, but the vid was funny as hell.

I wonder how high Bryd had to jump to get over Danny? Would it be measured in feet or inches?

Can someone, certainly more talented than I, get the vid and post it on this thread? I just quickly saw it and would like to view the entire thing.

Didn't someone else do that earlier in the year? Maybe the Steelers? I seem to remember when it happened, some folks expressed concern that other teams would pick up on it, as a way to avoid his blocks.

It happened earlier this year during KC vs HOU (4th Q, 1.43 left), when Derrick Johnson hurdled Foster, but it obviously might've happened at the steelers as well

Byrd landed on his feet and continued pursuit. Brady got rid of the ball before Byrd got there.

All Woodhead really needs to do is make an adjustment and get an arm up to knock the defender over.

I wish I had a pic of it, I was laughing so hard when I saw that during the game! I was yelling "replay! replay!" at the TV but apparently CBS couldn't hear me.

All Woodhead really needs to do is make an adjustment and get an arm up to knock the defender over.

That was my thought too- once a couple of guys land on their heads, they'll stop trying that stunt.

I don't know. Sunday was the first time in years that I had something else going on and could not be entirely focused on the game.

It was on Monday Night Countdown on ESPN and I think it was part of their Come on Man deal.

I found this, the time stamp is 2:02 pm if that helps. I guess that would work out to mid 2nd quarter.

what i think danny needs to do is use both hands to block one leg. This should create enough of a balance issue for the pass rusher to land on his head.

I saw it live at the game. We kinda giggled, more so cuz Brady still made a 19 yd gain on the play. Gimmicky crap that amounted to nothing except a first down the other way.

Perhaps, if the Bills would stop playing "cute" and start playing fundamentally sound football, they might be able to field a competitive team someday.

Danny should have "blocked" him hard right in his junk. Make him, or anyone else, think twice about doing that.
