Pretty simple question. If you were BB, would you have gone for 2? The way the D was gassed and Favre marched down the field (not to mention chancing you'd have to possibly kick off to Washington) I absolutely would have gone for 2. No question.

Too risky. Pats made the right call by going into OT. They should've got the ball back on D but they let Dustin Keller run circles around them.

Desperate teams with no confidence in their defense go for two.

After stopping the Jets on that final drive we had defensive momentum.

Also going for 2 instead of tying is something usually done when you're on the road.

No, BB made the right call. We had them on 3rd and long but blew the coverage. I don't know who's fault it was but it's unnacceptable when you have a third and 15 and give up the first down in overtime. What defense did they dial up?

I voted no. But put another poll out there. Should we go for two for now on? I'll vote yes.

One could argue it's just as unacceptable when you have a third and 15 and give up the tying TD with 1 second left on the clock. Both teams laid a defensive egg at the end. Remarkably sloppy lapses both times.

Sure you would have. You say that now, after we lose in OT without even touching that ball. I saw we win that toss, we win. Better yet, we stop them on 3rd and 15, we win.

Nope. The % play and the correct one if you ask me.

The coin toss is 50-50. There's no suggestion we would have marched the field and scored the game winning score.

What we had control over after the toss was preventing the Jets from doing that. We had our chance and didn't take it.

That old adage, you learn more from a loss than a win. This team has wonderful possibilities. The gripe was on our D and age all this offseason. We're addressing that.

It may not happen for us this year, but it definitely will next year. That I am sure of.

This is tough to answer. Normal logic says no, but knowing what I know now, I might have considered it. I knew the game was lost when we lost the coin flip. But if we go for 2 and do not get it, BB would have been vilified for that decision.

According to my ophthalmologist, I have excellent 20-20 hindsight so my answer is yes, of course.

OT question, is the camel deeply bummed?

Yes, I would have, but I will say that it would've been an emotional decision and not ground in sound play the percentages. BB did the right thing, going for 2 would've been the wrong play in that situation. But I still would've done it.

God NO! You have a 50-50 shot at the coin toss. You've got a better chance at the toss than if you were going for 2 although it would have been a sweet way of winning the game.

As I was watching the game live I was telling everyone I was with Pats should go for two. So it's not hindsight.

Also, as far as two point conversion stats, I thought I had read that teams convert them at a better than 50% clip, something like 60%? Could be wrong.

Just anecdotaly from watching the Pats, they seem to convert two-pointers more often than they don't, but again I don't have real stats on them.

    #32 Jersey

I'm rethinking my No vote here. As I understand it, the % of successful 2-point conversions has been right around 50% the past few years. IF that's true (and I haven't seen any really reliable stats yet), then it becomes a question of whether you favor your offense (go for 2), or your defense (play for OT). The chances are about the same either way.

Based on what I saw last night, both offenses held the upper hand late in the game, so it would seem to make sense to go for the 2 in that case...

No way. BB would have been vilified had they gone for two and failed. Not to mention the yards the Pats o was piling up.

I believe 95% of the leagues coaches would have done the same there.
