with that pitching staff?
the phillies suck.they arent winning the WS.We won the division by outslugging teams, and who says we can't do the say.

New York went into the playoffs last year with a better 1-2 punch in the rotation (2006 Mussina > 2007 Pettitte), and an offense that was just as good. Good pitching will beat good hitting just like it did with NYY last year, and you can't get much better than Carmona and Sabathia.iit kills me to say this and i hope im wrong but i think the yankees are better than the redsox thats why.
Red Sox in September: .290BA .366OBP .475SLG.We won the division by outslugging teams, and who says we can't do the say.

I only respect teams that can win 90 games. Arizona (barely) was the only NL team to reach that point. The first two rounds of the AL playoffs are more difficult than the world series.
Pitching wins in the playoffs. Slugging your way through tends to not work so well against the top pitchers. Recent Yankees teams are an example of this (and it's the reason why I don't think the current Yankees team will win it).

The two offenses are comparable, but if the two were to meet the Red Sox pitching would be a huge advantage over the Phillies pitching.

the yankees were undeafeted against the tribe this year.6 and 0The Phillies won't be there, but the Sox most likely will. Not because we are better right now than the Yankees, but because the Yanks can't beat Clevland and we will beat the Angels and Clevland.
The Cardinals lastyear won the World Series, and they only won 83 games if correct.
Very true. That's why I'm not as high on the Yanks as some people are. The difference this year for the Yanks is that they are better in the rotation than in years past. They can at least compete there with Wang, Pettitte, and hopefully Clemens.
