Why was Freeney's postgame tirade ignored by the media?

Colts defensive end Dwight Freeney was hit with a $20,000 fine by the NFL for his expletive-laced interview following last week's 23-17 overtime playoff loss to the San Diego Chargers.

What would have been the lead-off story on Sports Center every day for a week if this had been any Patriot, or TO, or almost any other high-profile player not on their preferred "nice guy on nice team" list?

You make excellent points, I was wondering the same thing myself. I was sure we would hear a bunch of Colts players mouthing off about the Chargers getting the benefit of the calls, especially in OT. Didn't hear a word, until the announcement of the fine. Interesting to say the least.

The media likes to protect the image of the Colts as a classy team with no troublemakers.

Media = double standard

but you're not supposed to mention the elephant in the room.....:rolleyes:

Well except for that wide receiver who carries a gun and shoots people, they're wicked classy.
