Unless the Patriots visit the Jets in the playoffs, Sunday's game will mark the final time Bill Belichick will coach a game at Giants Stadium.
Belichick was a bit nostalgic today on the topic (the Giants and Jets are moving to a new stadium in 2010).
Mark Farinella of the Attleboro Sun Chronicle, the longest tenured Patriots beat writer, asked Belichick his thoughts on coaching what will likely be his last game in the old stadium.
"It would be a little bit sentimental there," Belichick responded. "I was with the Giants for 12 years [1979-80] and we won a lot of football games there, a lot of big games, won some championships there. It was a great feeling with the Giants fans in what we accomplished."
Belichick said the feeling wasn't necessarily the same when he was with the Jets [1997-99].
Love the last line there, haha.
