It wouldn't surprise me that BB gave props to the Giants and not the Jets* though he worked for both teams. New Yorkers have a bad rep, but from what I hear Jets* fans are way worse than Giants fans in terms of behavior, rowdiness, etc. Then again it was a Giants fan that clocked a Chargers coach in the head with a snowball back in '95 or so.
And while I'm no fan of the Jets*, I've never given them grief about playing a stadium named after another team. The way I see it, if public funds pay for the stadium (which is definitely the case with the new one, I don't know about the current one) than I think it's great the place actually gets used more than 10 days a year. Course as we all know stadiums are used for other events like concerts, etc. But one of the chief arguments you hear from people who oppose public funding is that this enormous building is really only used 10 days (2 preseason games, 8 regular season.) Maybe 11 or 12 if the team makes the playoffs.
IMHO it's not any worse than sharing a stadium with a baseball team. Remember that before they left Shea the Jets* often had to play their first 2-3 games of the regular season on the road because the Mets always got first dibs; I think in other cities the baseball teams were more accommodating to their roommates.
What I can't understand is why you can't find a site for two or even one stadium in the world's biggest city. There are other stadiums which aren't actually in the team's "home" city, like the new Cowboys stadium in Arlington (and its predecessor in Irving), or the Buffalo Bills playing in Orchard Park, but at least they're in the same state as their home city. Unlike the Giants and Jets* (and the Redskins, come to think of it.)

P.S. I'm hoping that, like the new Spankees Stadium, the new Giants/Jets* park will turn out to have an offense-friendly flaw after construction.
