Easily Watt. At one point he was getting to Brady constatly and ended quite a few drives in a row.

Mt. Wilfork has me pretty confident vs Foster.

Watt, meh doesn't have to get to the qb to ruin a game. Foster doesn't scare me anymore than Tate. It's the scheme that's effective and if you beat them upfront you're fine. Watt doesn't need any help.

    None of 'em.

Stop worrying folks, this Patriots team is more than good enough to get back to the Super Bowl, it will take everyone else bringing their A game and the Pats having an off day to stop them.

Nothing really. With Tom Brady under center, why should you be scared or afraid of any team as a grown man?

The only thing that scares me is an unfocused team that is not executing..

This team can handle about everything else..

No one. "Scares" is the wrong word.

If the question were "who could have a big day?" against the Patriots, we'd have a discussion.

    Scared? Not a bit.

I guess at some stage there was a forum recruitment policy in place to sign up as many posters who are so obviously petrified of their own shadow.

    Really.

Just grow a pair and enjoy the ride.

Watt, without question. The only way the Pats can be beaten in any game is if Brady cannot pass well for whatever reason and Watt is the one most likely to cause that problem.

    :agree:
Watt is a beast. He's the one guy on the Texans capable of lifting his team onto his shoulders and willing them to a win.

Watt, easily. Even with a blocking scheme apparently focusing on him, he was finding his way to Brady.

A distant second would be Johnson. The defense will be focused on Foster, and showed it can slow him down.

Watt. Not only because he's capable of really being disruptive, but also because he's an absolute beast, and he's capable of doing the unthinkable: knocking Brady out of the game.

    JJ Watt. Easily.

The easiest way to beat the Patriots is if Tom Brady is either out the game or made ineffective by a dominating pass rush.

Foster can do a lot of damage certainly. But Watt can ruin everything.

Arian Foster is a very good RB.

JJ Watt is a monster DL who impacts passing game with sacks, pressures, and even passes defended, and may be the single best defensive player in the league.

    This is even a question?

I see the ease of letting receivers in the end zone as our biggest threat of loss. The ARI game being the only loss where our D held up.

So I would say Andre Johnson is easily the threat.

I think you're forgetting who's throwing him the ball. Johnson only has 4 TDs on the season. It'd probably be a valid and worthwhile plan for the Texans to try to hit Johnson deep for TDs once in range to avoid getting stymied in the redzone. However I'm just not sure I see Kubiak and co taking that risk, and even if they do I'm unsure if Schaub can deliver.

I was going to put it in but I don't think people over looking Schaub matters, we have lost playoff games by failing to defend TD passes from Eli, Sanchez, Flacco, last great QB to do it was Peyton in 06 and yet we have 4 losses since.

Sorry but I don't think their D is going to hurt us, our biggest weakness has to be our inability to hit the QB and leave guys wide open. Wilson, Kap, and Flacco hurt us with bombs this year in 3/4 losses, Brady has played well regardless of who defends him.

Sorry but all my 'fear' is in our defense, I am 100% confident in our offense, JJ Watt is a good story but won't stop Brady.

On D Watt scare me most, put a few licks on Brady in first game.

The Texans OL scares me as well - mainly cause of their zone/cut blocking style ala Denver(Kubiak). Don't want any injuries to DL on cheap block.

Whoever "makes a play" that makes the difference, if the Texans need one to be made.

If you'd asked me this question before SB XLII or SB XLVI, I would never have said Tyree or Manningham, so I'll go with that.

My main concern with mostly every team is our OL vs their DL. That's where the games are won/lost IMO. And the scary part about Houston is they have the DL to disrupt Brady especially if our OL is still banged up. There was a stretch in the first game where they were getting to Brady and he had some trouble until the bomb to Stallworth. Luckily our D did a good job getting the ball back to Brady repeatedly and gave him chances. If the Texans manage to control the clock at all and are able to get to Brady, we're in for a real fight.

from everything i've read and heard we really need to keep like 4 guys on that Tight end Brown, the backup to daniels.

He missed the last game, and really it looks like he is the linchpin that makes the texans offense work.

Not sure where this 100% confidence comes from seeing as the offense has ranged from decent to lousy in those 4 losses you speak of.

Giants 07: Poor: 14 pts, 311 yds, and 1 TO
Balt 09: Horrible: 14 pts, 218 yds, and 4 TOs...
Jets 10: Mediocre: 21 pts (7 in garbage), 412 yds, and 1 TO
    Giants 11: Decent: 17 pts, 359 yds, 1TO, and a safety

So the offense averages ~17pts, 325 yds, and ~2TOs in the losses. That's simply not good, esp in the context of how great those offenses were. The defenses certainly let them down in those games too, but the truth is the Pats aren't likely to lose this game if they break the mid 20s on the score board.

But you could've said Eli and not been wrong since those 2 plays basically won him 2x SB MVP's.

For me it's Watt. We can win a shoot out if Foster gets going, and even with him getting 140 yards against the Bengals they only scored 19 points. If Watt gets in Brady's face and is able to throw him way off his game, we are in trouble.

    Probably Watt.

Even if Foster has a career day I can't see them scoring enough points to win unless Watt has a say. Or unless our guys start dropping passes.
