I completely missed that Slater made the team. Kind of surprised on that one. He'll mostly be used on special teams, but not as a return man anymore, with Tate probably taking over the kick return duties.
Good list Patsfan1973.
Other options include Guyton and Ninkovich, they've spent a lot of time there previously. And even though they played little or no S/T this preseason, McKenzie, Mayo and Cunningham could see some time on S/T if needed later this season too, though I doubt that will happen.
There are plenty of guys to make plays..I totally agree there...WHO though will have Aiken's expertise of all the special teams?? I am talking about what Izzo did as well....one who can lead, has experience and will devote time to that???? That is what I see as missing now. It's great to have a lot of quick young players BUT??? Special teams needs as much vet leadership..at least from ONE.
That is possible..and I HOPE he sticks...Having looked at threads many want him cut and gone. IF he is the guy for that ST vet leadership, THAT would be a big plus.Tracy White could be this guy.. He's got 6 years in the league doing primarily STs, though he was pressed into action as a Coverage LB last season for the Eagles..
