1) the trainer

2) the wide receiver special coach

DEFENSE
Clearly the defense will show major improvement if everyone stays healthy.

OFFENSE
4 of our top 5 TE's have had recent injury issues. Obviously, we needed an addition coach to work with the new receivers. Belichick hired a good one.

I was also pleased that the Pats hired Daboll. Too bad Mangini burned his bridges. He could have coached the young defensive backs. Glad to
read the two Wilsons are working out together.

Supposedly Mangini is in talks with the SF 49ers for taking a defensive consulting job there.

Their current defensive coordinator, Vic Fangio is becoming more and more wanted as a potential head coach with each passing season, so the popular thinking is that the hiring of Mangini now as a "defensive consultant" is a proactive step towards making him Fangio's replacement as defensive coordinator once the season is over.

If so, he suddenly may be going from the outhouse to the penthouse. Being the defensive coordinator in training for one of the top defense's in the NFL is a pretty good gig if he ends up taking it.

Mangini could land with 49ers as consultant | ProFootballTalk
