Sounds like his head is in the right place and it always helps to add a solid veteran presence and hopefully some leadership to a locker room that truth be told...can use it right now.
I think this means that Dez Bryant is off the board now though at $22....if the Pats ever actually had him as a prospect.
why would Dez be off the board...Holt is a one or two year player. Dez will be ready to go by then (training wheels off) and would have learned a lot from Moss, Welker, and Holt in those two years
People arent being negative about the signing, I think those people including myself just think that the team is still a quality WR short and need to add another quality/play making WR whether its through the draft, trade or FA
“To be honest with you, I never hated the Patriots. I can honestly say that. I’ve never hated the Patriots. I’ll never get over that loss in the Super Bowl because it takes so much to get there and then to lose that game – it hurts. It hurts to get to the big game and lose. But in terms in hating them, I don’t hate anybody. I wasn’t raised that way and I never thought that way. Never did I hate them, but I always looked forward to the opportunity of playing them again when I was on other teams. And now I look forward to joining them and hopefully winning some ball games this year and seeing how it goes.”
Holt makes a good point about using his instincts and years of experience to offset a small loss of speed. A savvy veteran can oft-times out fox the younger player and make the plays he needs to make.
