Papelmouth & Delcarmen seem to think they know what's best for the team. Time for them to STFU and pitch ... especially PapelMouth who has been a bit shaky this year. You have a chance to add a strong lefty to the pen ... and it's going to cost almost $4 million but worth it as Wagner has experience +++ .
I think the claim on Wagner was a great one. For years we had that lefty 1 inning or less guy and we'll need one especially if we play the Yankees in a division championship. Wagner is no Gange. Gagne sucked before he came here and continued to suck after. Daniel Bard has been exposed a bit he needs more time ... we need more than Bard and Okajima at setup time.

Billy Wagner's agent says his client would waive his no-trade clause to go to the Red Sox. Two key members of the team's current bullpen don't sound too excited about the possible addition, however.
PapelMouth: "What has he done? Has he pitched this year?""Is he ready to pitch or is he not? ... I think our bullpen is good where we're at right now. Don't get me wrong. But I guess you could always make it better. It's kind of like the Eric Gagne thing, I guess."
Delcarmen:
"We loved Gagne coming over here, just the stuff that he had, but it was an awkward situation this late in the season," Delcarmen told WEEI.com. "I think our bullpen is fine right now. It is what it is. If [Wagner] comes and helps us win, that's what we want. But sometimes, shaking things up this late might work out different. We'll see what happens."
